Lovely hotel and stay
It’s a beautiful hotel steeped in history. Had a lovely one night stay, the room was simple but clean and a large television. Lovely bathroom with a large walk in shower. Very much enjoyed the ambiance in the bar with a large open fire. We didn’t eat there but wish we had. Only small comment is it’s not very well sign posted where things are within the hotel but staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay again and even pop just for a drink in the bar or to dine.

Beautiful hotel, every detail thought of. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Only downside I could see is there is no lift so carrying a suitcase, handbag and laptop bag up a few flights of stairs it a bit of a challenge!

We had a delightful stay at the Haycock manor. The Evelyn room was spacious and elegant and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Wonderful historic restored mansion in sandstone. Clean and immaculate with choice of eating venues and fabulous building and surrounds. Good food and friendly courteous staff. One cannot ask for more for a terrific stay away.

We love that we can get a room on the ground floor. Rooms are spacious and modern. We also love the adventure in food in the Prevost restaurant.

Lovely hotel with a couple of small snags
Lovely place to stay… nicely presented rooms, clean, comfortable beds and nice touches such as the luxurious toiletries and tea / coffee bags. Delicious breakfast. A couple of small points which would have made the stay even better: 1. the hairdryer provided has a really short spiral cable - this with the positioning of sockets meant I could not reach to see into the mirror to when drying my hair without pulling the hairdryer with some force.. which was pretty much impossible as it’s one of those hotel dryers where you have to hold the button down constantly to use. I’m always puzzled by this… who on earth has ever left a hairdryer with a normal on/off switch running dangerously?! Surely nobody since the noise alone alerts you to it being on? Please rethink your hairdryers or add a mirror above the desk where the sockets are within easy reach!! 2. None of my bedside lights were working - only there for one night and didn’t need them to read this time - but this could be annoying. Make lighting checks part of your routine checks before new customers arrive? 3. Fix the room safe to the wall / wardrobe. I went to put my valuables in and changed my mind when I realised the safe was not fixed to anything.. what’s the point of a safe that can be picked up and removed easily? Having said that, I would return!

Lovely hotel
Great hotel and always have a good time when we stay here. The food and wine in the restaurant is very good, as is the breakfast. Service can be a bit unpolished and comical at times but everything is very well intentioned and enthusiastic.

Lovely newly refurbished hotel. Particularly good food and beverage options. A few oddities though, eg no extractor fan in bathroom, no bedside lights and not the most comfortable bed for a modern hotel.

Wonderful stay from start to finish. Amazing, helpful and attentive staff. The food is outstanding. The location is very easy to access. There's a lot of exciting developments at this hotel so I look forward to visiting in the future.
