Pros: It's position on the Isle of Purbeck. In the sweet village of Corfe Castle.
Location: Corfe Castle itself, the Swanage Steam Railway, the Blue Pool, Tynham & the Lulworth Ranges (only open at weekends), lots a nice villages & walking.
Run by a lovely couple. The B & B was spotlessly clean, I had a lovely room with a lovely view. I couldn't fault it.

Small, friendly B&B very close to the villagePosted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Good value for the area.
Cons: Freshening-up the décor.
Location: Corfe is a great base with or without a car. There is good parking and great bus and walking routes to all the wonderful Purbeck beaches and villages.
My daughter (aged 7) and I stayed at the Ammonite for 3 nights in August and it was ideally suited to our purposes. Yvonne is a pleasant and helpful host without being intrusive and it really is a 'home from home' experience. We stayed in the small twin room which was fine with just an adult and a child but would be quite a tight squeeze for two adults - we found it over-warm and a bit airless, even with the windows left open at night. The bathroom was nice and clean and we appreciated the organic toiletries. We are not usually breakfast people but my little girl certainly enjoyed her cooked breakfast and the communal eating was less awkward than I might have envisaged. All-in-all it is a good value, comfortable stopover for a few nights.

Wonderful! Lovely room, delicious full breakfast, and terrific hosts. Very welcoming and helpful. Spotless. The village of Corfe Castle is so picturesque with 4 pubs. I'd love to return and would stay at the Ammonite B&B again.

Great place for a holidayPosted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels
A good B&B, suitable for people looking for a quiet place to stay while exploring the surrounding area. It's a friendly B&B, good for quiet couple / retired people. Not suitable for a raucous bunch of people. Breakfast was at 8.30am and you needed to be quiet at night in respect to other guests (which is all reasonable - but just so you know). Very clean and tidy place - some limited space to park outside. It's worth phoning the place prior to booking so you can arrange a good time to go and be let in (the owners are out some of the time). Had a very homely lived in feel.

excellent B&BPosted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: The quality and location of the accommodation.
Location: Perfect - within walking distance of the centre of Corfe Castle, or a very short drive to the coast
Very welcoming, great location and good value. Yvonne is very helpful and the rooms are fitted out to a good standard. The breakfasts top off a great experience.
