Excellent value for moneyPosted Jan 26, 2016
Pros: Convenient and friendly. Good value and would stay again.
Cons: The shower was on the slow side.
It was a very convenient location for us for an overnight stay. The room facilities were better than I was expecting and the breakfast was very good. It was excellent value for money.

Only one (major) thing wrongPosted Dec 30, 2015
Pros: Almost everything. Lovely building, good room, decent breakfast, excellent staff.
Cons: The pair of large and very loud extractor fans in the courtyard outside our room which stayed on all night and made it very difficult to get to sleep
Location: Quiet market town, very nice. Not a great deal going on, but there's a nice park, good unusual shops, and quite a few places to eat.
Everything good about this, except the pair of large and very loud extractor fans in the courtyard outside our room which stayed on all night and made it very difficult to get to sleep. A real disadvantage that brought down what would have been a near-perfect stay. Once we had turned in and realised the problem there was no-one was available to contact about this, except an emergency number which we were reluctant to call as this wasn't, strictly speaking, an emergency. If you're the type who can sleep through anything this place will do for you, and those rooms not overlooking the courtyard are probably perfect, but if you need quiet for sleep think twice about the Old Bell.

Old hotel in middle of townPosted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: Location is fine in the middle of town.
Cons: Fix parking boom gate security. Monitor noise level in the court yard under the rooms.
Location: Close to both Bath and Salisbury.
The Old Bell Inn is centrally located in the middle of Warminster. It is an old coach house built in 1500s. Rooms are OK for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is good. Noisy on a Fri and Sat night due to music in the pub. Mainly it is the smokers outside under the rooms that make most of the noise for guest rooms. We were surprised with the amount of noise on the Sunday night due to this until 2300 even though there was no music in the pub on this night. Walking distance from station. Parking provided by hotel as per the claim on website but boom gate broken for duration of visit so often car park full with locals and we had to drive out and find parking elsewhere which was annoying.

A week in WarminsterPosted Nov 2, 2015 on Hotels
business trip, very close to where I was working, enough choise on the menu for several nights meals and a decent ale available. Just a little tight on the car parking spaces but the bird poo was free lol

Old Bell InnPosted Oct 20, 2015 on Hotels
Das Hotel ist sehr alt, entsprechend auch die Armaturen. Der Duschkopf funktionierte nicht. Alles sehr hellhörig, unter dem Dach haben sich Tauben eingenistet die einen morgens wecken.
