Worth the money

Posted Jan 16, 2018
Pros: Affordable rate, friendly staff and free breakfast.
Cons: Parking lot needed some de-icer and shoveling in the snow. Mattresses could be firmer.
Location: Multiple dinging options around the hotel. Do hit the pizza place next door. Super quick service and yum, yum, yummy.
We had to travel to Detroit for a youth sporting event. Wanted an affordable place to stay, near the tournament facilities, with a high rating. We had a good stay, although the first room they assigned us to had a strong odor of smoke. I mean, like it was 1975! Wife marched us out to front desk and asked for a new room. They apologized and obliged us, and the new room was fine. Breakfast was great. We travel as a family and getting a free, quality meal in the morning is important to us to help keep costs down. If you stay here, hope it is on the day they serve hash browns. They were fantastic! Eggs, sausage, waffle maker also available. Cereal, toast, muffins and bagels, too. Juices, coffee and teas available. Even better, hard boiled eggs! Nobody left hungry and the kitchen lady was friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of. The room itself, was spacious and had a BIG TV. Not sure of the size, but it seemed bigger than the usual hotel TV. WiFi was free, but we didn't use it that much, really. Beds were a little on the soft side for my personal taste, but not uncomfortable. Location was good, just minutes from 696 and 94. Plenty of places to dine nearby. The pizza place next door was fantastic. Hotel is in a more developed area than I imagined, but it was not a problem. I would stay there again and also recommend it to friends.

Pros: Beds are too high -- esp. 4 handicapped friend, she thought would have to sleep in a chair because of the height of bed & need 2 use restroom @ night
Cons: lower beds only . . .

Easy access

The hotel was close to many major roads so made it easier to get around. Clean rooms with hot daily breakfast and room service.

Breakfast was busy but the hostess was very watchful topping up quickly when food got low intermingled with the guest making us all laugh . The start to each day was a enjoyable time. The hotel is in a great area for shopping .No problem with parking at the hotel.Baggage carts available.

Stayed here for two nights & it was a very good experience! The hotel staff were friendly, knowledgeable & they provided excellent customer service. The room was clean & comfortable & I loved that breakfast, wifi & parking was all included (wifi worked very well). I would definitely stay here again. :)

Good Place to Stay

Posted Nov 25, 2017
Pros: The proximity to restaurants, stores and the freeways. Perfect location for me.
Cons: The clerk greeting customers with a smile. I would have thought that she would have at least acknowledge me after I said hello.
Location: Plenty to do in downtown Detroit. That's why being close to the freeways was important to me.
I arrived at the hotel a little after 8 pm. I was very tired; however I had to wait nearly 30 min as the clerk tried to assist another patron. when he stepped away from the desk it took only 3-4 min for the clerk to confirm my reservation and to give me the room key. The check-in desk service was not good because #1 the clerk could have acknowledge my presence and let inform me that she would be with me momentarily or...... I approached the desk as soon as the gentlemen stepped away and the clerk seemed confused and unwelcoming. I think that a little more training in politeness/customer service is necessary. The room was very clean--Kudos to housekeeping. I had to leave a tip even though I was only in the room for 10 hours. The breakfast was continental to included waffles! :-) It was pretty noisy though. I could hear every little bit of noise--car doors opening and closing, people walking up and down the hallway, room doors slamming, people in the room above me and the fan on the heater going off every few minutes.

If you like clean, this is it!

Posted Nov 24, 2017
Cons: The towels could be better.
Location: Good location, near freeway and dining options. We ate at nearby Applebee's, but there are many other places to choose from nearby.
The Quality Inn and Suites Warren is a great choice. This was one of the cleanest hotels we have seen in a long time - the room and bathroom were spotless and the bedding smelled fresh. The hallways, elevator and lobby were really clean too, in fact there was a woman mopping the ceramic tile in the lobby area when we arrived. The room was well-appointed and the king bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty much like every other hotel's, but was just fine for us. There was a very attentive woman there to keep breakfast items stocked and to keep the area clean. All the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful - front desk, cleaning people and breakfast attendant were all great. We would highly recommend this Quality Inn and Suites to anyone.
