Great location on lovely main street in Kenilworth

Pros: Te staff, the quality of the room, the ambience, the food. The location in such a lovely town near the NEC.
Location: We went to a fantastic restaurant called ECO which was the best place we have been for ages. The NEC was 20 minutes where we were going the next day.
We were greeted most warmly by a nice young lady. Our room was spotlessly clean with lovely clean bd linen and towels. The heating was on and the breakfast was awesome!

A town centre hotel

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Breakfast was obviously microwaved ( I hate microwaved food) and suffered as a result - disappointing
Location: Good location for the town centre and local facilities. There's an excellent nearby Indian restaurant (The Indian Edge).
There was a warm and efficient welcome. Good on-site parking. The room was very clean but small, so small that there wasn't even room for a chair. The hotel seemed a bit tired

Busy, noisy hotel

I booked this hotel for my sons and unfortunately it wasn't as we expected. My 11 year old son was very disappointed as the free wifi wasn't working at all regardless of the time of day. We were also situated iat the front of the building and therefore the traffic house was constant night & day. I rang reception a few times from the room phone in the day time and it wasn't ever answered.

Pros: Very comfortable bed and lovely staff.
Cons: For the price I paid, nothing much,.
Location: Plenty of places to eat, 20 minute drive fron NEC.
I chose the Grand Hotel as it was reasonably priced and only needed a bed for the night as was working at the NEC. Very helpful and lovely receptionist, couldn't do enough for you. We weren't able to park as we came a bit too late, but she directed us to free parking close by. Our room was very comfortable and smart (room 103) it was over the restaurant, but wasn't at all noisy. Very large and comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with bath and walk in shower. Very small TV though.

Pros: good location close to pubs & restaurants
Cons: this hotel was advertised as having a bar but although it had a licensed restaurant next door there was no bar area to just sit & have a drink.
we felt £5 pounds per night to park when you are a resident was a hidden surcharge.

Room was good. No breakfast. Power went off for an hour which was probably not the fault of the hotel.

Very tired, unattended and uncared for

In spite of ther name and proclamation of being a luxury guesthouse, it most certainly is not. From the detritus around the reception desk, coffee making facilities only being cleaned or refreshed once in 4 nights, my colleague being locked out of his room on an evening and having to wait on the road for 20 minutes for someone to turn up to tell him his keycard was working all along (it wasn't), the remote controls with no batteries in, the threadbare carpets, I could go on.... The staff seem to work 9-5, too, which is somewhat unique for a hotel Please buck up, as the location is good and you have on site parking (at a cost, which wasn;t made clear in the advert). The photos seem to be of a completely different establishment. Worst hotel stay I've had for a long while.
