Quiet street, great location, safe and clean. 2 blocks from Foggy Bottom metro station and within minutes' walk from Georgetown and Watergate. Close to a Whole Foods market where one can buy groceries, prepared foods, and munchies.
I was visiting Washington DC for less than 24h for business. Avenue suites was a 10 minute walk to my meeting in the morning. Quiet block (but considerable construction, probably for at least 3 more months). Limited parking, but cheap for DC. ...

Amazed to find a full sized living room and table and chairs, with our room. Hotel had a very quaint feel - but with modern comforts

My husband and I stayed for a week in December 2017. The Oakwood was a nice and spacious apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. After a hiccup checking in which was quickly resolved, we had a pleasant 2 night stay. The breakfast was excellent, especially the coffee. Staff were attentive. I would stay here again as we found it convenient to walk to various things.
Hotel was nice but very frustrating experience with the airport pickup. No one showed up for 20 minutes, and then when the shuttle arrived it was too full for us. Ended up taking a cab instead.
Nice location, It is about 10-12 mins walk from Hotel to Pentagon city station. Also, you can enjoy shopping time at the giant mall, Pentagon ciy mall, which is located nearby the metro station and Hotel. Good choice for traveller!
I once stayed in this same hotel about five years ago, and then my company was having their holiday party at the nearby Air & Space Museum on a Saturday night. EXCELLENT staff that went out if their way to make our stay one that we will remember. Excellent location if you visit Washington DC. Highly recommended with all the amenities you need.
The staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. For example, our toilet was making noise. I called the front desk and within five minutes the engineer was knocking on my door. He fixed the problem in five minutes. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable.
Very nice and clean hotel loved the kitchen area and how everything was in the kitchen had a lovely time and will come back again
