Some of the rooms were overheated. I think the cooling and heating system throughout the building needs to be significantly upgraded Nice work on the appearance. Now work on what’s not seen.

Chose this hotel as it offered the right facilities and was within walking distance to the local parkrun (Kensington). Very friendly staff, parking and very large rooms make for a wonderful trip.

Way overpriced
The room and facilities are nice. But the extra expenses are over the top. $95 to bring a small dog. $20 to park. Breakfast extra. WiFi extra. Not even free coffee in the lobby. Nice place but way overpriced.

friendliest hotel I have ever...
I stayed at the Marriott Bethesda for 12 days. Everyone on the staff there was extremely helpful and always smiling and friendly. They even have complimentary washing and drying machines on the second floor. This hotel is very comfortable! The only thing missing are recycling options. Somewhere to throw all the plastic bottles, cans, glass bottles... very important in a hotel which obviously creates much trash, some which could be recycled to help save this earth...

The staff was lovely. It was nice and clean. The shuttle from Marriott to the NIH was super convenient to me. But I disliked the fact that they billed me a regular water bottle for $5.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel stay as a constant traveler. There looked to be mold in the bathroom and no exhaust. Wifi is not included so you have to pay for it if not a member which I am but was charged for anyway. The meals were horrendous and you get charged a $5 fee for delivery to your room, a fact found only the the back of the menu....who looks at the back of a menu? So, I was charged repeatedly. Waiting 25 mins for coffee to be delivered. I traveled injured and didn't have the luxury of just going downstairs for coffee. So I paid a delivery fee of $5....talk about accommodating the disabled and injured. Staff is incompetent; I specifically inquired about shuttle service in the AM as I have a torn meniscus and needed to have a ride readily available and I got absolutely wrong information. I asked to have my bill emailed to me upon check out and nothing, had to follow up with another call. Only to find incorrect charges on my bill which was the last straw. Charges placed there because of incorrect directions given twice by their front desk for the wifi connection. It took every ounce of energy not to lose it on the phone when requesting charge reversal. As an executive who travels often, I WILL NEVER stay here again. I'll be writing the CEO.

We sincerely do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay, as a Marriott Bonvoy member you're not charged for the Wi-Fi. When ordering room service there is an option of picking up your order or delivery that includes a fee of 5.00. If you call the property, they would be more than happy to credit any charges that are incorrect.

More like a motel than a Marriott
I was provided a small room where the two beds barely fit. The pool was closed in the morning and the front desk person was rude when I asked when would it be opened again. The bathroom door was broken and would not close all the way. The sink in the bathroom was clogged. The maintenance people never came to my room to fix the door, nor the sink, after saying they would.
