due to renovation of the lobby and restaurant, it was little difficult to get around.. I wish they inform these aspects up front!

Double Tree BethesdaPosted Nov 24, 2015
Pros: hotel room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, very quiet, nice heater, close to restaurants
Cons: Staff could be friendlier and more accomodating
Location: Restaurants, metro
Staff wasn't very friendly or welcoming. Waited a long time for: check in, when i called for some things to be delivered to my room, and getting coffee in the morning. Last time I stayed in the Bethesda Inn right next door, and service was so much better. I wasn't told about the coffee shop being renovated. The hotel should mention upcoming reservations during a guest's stay. Otherwise, the room was clean, quiet and very comfortable.

Close to NIHPosted Nov 21, 2015
Pros: Close to my destination
Cons: Provide airport shuttle service. Repair the shower equipment
Location: Not much to do near the neighborhood
Not very clean especially the bathroom. The shower was not very nice. The faucet didn't work properly. Water was leaking.

Very nice hotelPosted Nov 16, 2015
Pros: The STAFF
Cons: Would prefer 2 queen beds in the rooms with full size beds.
The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were very clean and we loved that it was within walking distance to the Metro. Did not have to be in the hustle bustle of D.C. but had the Metro to get us where we needed to go.

Good enough for a few nights stayPosted Nov 3, 2015
Pros: Comfortable beds
Cons: Hot water took 10 minutes to arrive on the 8th floor. Yes, it was a little warm before hand, but to wash or shower, we like it hotter.
It was fine except for hot water and elevators not functioning on a Monday morning--10 minute wait for each. Carpet in room 805 needed shampooing. Vacuuming was minimal--just the broad areas, not the edges and corners. Breakfast was too expensive for us. We walked outside the building and found restaurants within a few minutes walk. Coffee in room was good, but not enough cream was provided.

nice hotel and a convenient location in BethesdaPosted Oct 31, 2015
Pros: helpful service
Cons: the complimentary wi-fi was slow, and it often got disconnected.
Location: not used
The checking-in process was very smooth. We got our room earlier and that was very helpful. Help at the concierge desk was also very efficient. We had to go to the Metro station and one person drove us there. Overall, the staff was helpful, courteous and customer service oriented. I would like to come back when in the area.

Great location and very nice hotelPosted Oct 28, 2015
Pros: Location, cost, cleanliness.
Cons: Faster and bigger elevators
Location: Shops and restaurants near by. A quick 10 minute walk to the Metro.
We needed a place to stay for one night in the DC area. This hotel was perfect. It was very easy to get to from the highway and it was near shops restaurants and not too far from the Metro. The warm chocolate chip cookies at check in were a nice touch. The only negative was the slowness of the elevators, but that wasn't a really big deal.

Ok but not goodPosted Oct 20, 2015
Carpet was stained, room needed some updating. Though it was clean it didn't feel like it was. Long distance to Metro.

Fairly nice hotel but not Hilton quality.Posted Oct 15, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed and quiet room on 12th floor. Also got free breakfast due to the fact that I mentioned that I am a HHonors member!
Cons: Room cleanliness. If the rooms for HHonors members are dirty, what must the regular rooms look like?
Location: A fair amount of restaurants near by however it is not close enough to the Metro station.
There are charges for everything at this hotel from use of the in room refrigerator to microwave unless you are a HHonors member. The condition of our room was sub par. Carpet was a liitle dirty as well as the mold on grout in the bathroom. It doesnt take much to clean grout if you try. Also the in room safe did not work so you are pretty much on your own in you have anything of value with you .

The look of the hotelPosted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: The Bar
Cons: The hallways need renovation desperately. They are dark, dank. and a little scary.
Location: Location was great! Very close to DC and eating establishments.
Honestly this hotel looks like an old apartment building that was converted. It was affodable and the rooms and bathrooms are clean. it is by no means a 5 star property but it is comfortable. Other than the front desk staff the people were nice, fiendly, and helpful. You are forced to pay for valet parking (which I didn't appreciate) but for my 1 night stay, I was fine. I would not choose this hotel for a vacation spot but for a business trip or a sleep over when visiting relatives it's ok.
