WorsePosted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Close to metro
Cons: Reduce the room charge to $50 or below.
We found dirty socks in the room. Breakfast was pitiful.

Great deal for DC areaPosted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Convenience, price, and the good management
Cons: Breakfast could be better. First morning we were down at 830 and just afew bagels remained. Same thing at 730am. Very limited selection
Location: At a busy intersection but no real problem..convenient to Metro
Very clean, obviously well run and maintained EconoLodge. A walk of about 3/8 mile to Metro station. Safe neighborhood.

Nice hotel for the pricePosted Aug 7, 2015
Pros: The stay included breakfast.
Cons: I would love to see a shuttle to the metro. It was farther than I thought to walk.
Location: We didn't do anything nearby. We took the metro into Washington, DC
We stayed for three nights and it was very pleasant. The breakfast was good. We did have a hard time finding it from the metro station so the directions could have been clearer.

Conveniently locatedPosted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: The bed was perfect for my back! I could sleep and rest well enough to recharge batteries and be ready for a long touring day.
Cons: a bigger closet; extend breakfast time
Location: There are some nice little restaurants and cafes in the area with good choices and courteous service.
Visiting Washington for a "flash class mates' weekend meeting". I had the time of my life.

Convenient, friendly staffPosted Aug 2, 2015
Booked this last minute on my way to DC. Chose this one for the few perks it listed, those being, free parking, close to metro and breakfast, plus it was cheap and this was a last minute stop. The hotel staff and owner were polite, friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy and the owner(I believe it was the owner) offered directions to the metro and information about the location. The hotel itself was clean but very outdated. Our room was on the bottom floor down a flight of stairs through the crowded Breakfast room and across from the laundry. It was clean but again outdated. The bathroom was tiny, shower head was too low for my husband at 5'10" and toliet was almost touching it. There was alot of mold on walls and mold visible under linoleum flooring, and bottom door. I have a terrible allergy to mold so we kept the door closed and the vent on (which was very loud). Beds were ok, not all that comfortable, tv had fuzzy picture and wifi was almost non existent. Someone was doing laundry across hall and the washer was banging around athe about 10pm. Breakfast the next was spotty. The food is brought out of the electrical room. It consisted of mini muffins, crossiants, apple rolls, toast and cereal. Starbucks coffee was a nice surprise. If not for the owner being so nice I would have complained while I was there. But for a 2 star hotel at this price last minute with free parking in DC it was ok for one night.

Perfect for the pricePosted Jul 22, 2015
Bed was comfortable, bathroom was small but adequate. Breakfast needed help- nothing but carbs-, but was perfect for the price.

A high-quality stay that surpassed expectations.Posted Jul 16, 2015
We usually skip over Econolodge listings when looking for a place to stay. But with this one being close to a Metro station we decided to take a chance. We are glad we did. The room was immaculate, I mean not just clean. The room has a refrigerator but no microwave oven. There is a central microwave oven that is guest-usable in the breakfast room. The continental breakfast was all that we needed. The Metro station is just minutes away by foot where you have access to the Orange and Silver lines. The hotel also has free guest parking. All rooms have internal entrances but there is no elevator to the second floor. This is the only downside of this place. It is truly a gem nestled away in what seems to be a very quiet Arlington neighborhood.
