Has Potential To Be 4 StarPosted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: Location, room comfort, room size, room amenities, cleanliness, pool, front desk.
Cons: Staff in lounge
Location: Directly across from the King Street metro station. Restaurant in hotel and right next to hotel. Free trolly at metro station. Shopping.
Extremely convenient to the metro, busses and Old Town Trolly stop. Suites are nice and spacious. You really benefit from peace and quiet at night having the bedroom at the farthest end of the room, away from the hallway. The atrium is nice, the hotel has a happy hour that provides free snacks to it's guests and having a heated indoor pool & hot tub on a cold rainy day was pretty great. The front desk was friendly and the hotel overall is clean and very nice. The only drawbacks were the area outside the hotel where you can pull up to check in or pick up, the parking garage and some of the wait staff. The pull-up area outside the hotel is so small, that you can easily block other cars from being able to pull out or even pull in at all. The parking garage can be confusing with all the designated spots and driving paths. Many people including myself were driving in circles unaware of the additional hotel parking until a lot attendant gave us the tip. And a couple of the wait staff in the bar/lounge area were kind of rude. One seemed terribly disinterested in his job. We had just sat down and didn't get a chance to look at the menu when he came around and asked us if we wanted anything. We told him we were going to look at the menu and he never came back, even though he walked by our table 3 times afterward. We decided not to order anything and just get our drinks from the bar. The other was a bartender who became pretty cocky when asked if he could make a drink off the menu.

Pros: Cleanliness & location
Location: Within walking distance of many restaurants, across the street from the King Street Metro Station and within walking distance of the King Street Troll
This was a long weekend to visit historical sites and go to a baseball game. Food was excellent everywhere we visited and the people were extremely friendly.

Great locationPosted Sep 17, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, breakfast. Location is about perfect.
Cons: A little noise from metro not very noticeable.
Location: Gosh. Location great. Free trolley down Kings Street. Stops about every two blocks. Great for using Metro. We did every day. Whole Foods two blocks
Great location. Across street is Metro Station Kings Street. Rail and bus. Also starting point for free trolley down King Street and Old Town Alexandria. Staff was so friendly. Free breakfast and complimentary beer and wine in evening was great. Abt 2 blocks from a Whole Foods. Metro very easy to use. Many restaurants on Kings Street for variety. Theisman's next door. Good place to enjoy a steak. Can use Metro from Reagan airport. Cabs too expensive.

Excellent locationPosted Sep 6, 2015
Right across the road from the train and metro and close to old town and the waterfront, you can walk or a free trolley runs every 15 min. The parking garage under the hotel is pretty awful though like a maze and the attendants unhelpful. Breakfast was very good.

VERY SURPRIZED TO BE GOUGED FOR PARKINGPosted Sep 2, 2015
Cons: COMMUNICATE ADD ON FEES
THE WEBSITE SAID "NO SURPRIZES"...the $28.00 parking fee was a surprise! VERY MISLEADING

Pamper yourself!Posted Sep 2, 2015
Location: D.C, Old Alexandria, Wharf, Mount Vernon
This hotel exceeded my expectations. We travel a lot and this one is a gem for so many reasons. If I could give it a 10 out of 5 I would! 1. Happy hour-yay! 2. Free breakfast-cooked to order. 3. fridge, m.wave, comfy beds and pillows, amazing shower. 4. Free trolley out front 5. Best grocery store a block away, Whole Foods. 6. Absolutely great restaurant on site Caprese-ate out on the patio. 7. We walked everywhere except Mount Vernon, drove there. If you want to feel pampered and treat yourself you need to stay at this property.

Pros: Wonderful free breakfast and happy hours
Location: Across the street from the Metro, within walking distance of Alexandria's shops and restaurants
When I arrived, there was a problem with my Expedia reservation. The desk clerk spent @ 15 minutes fixing the problem. I was able to check in early to a comfortable suite. I enjoyed breakfast and happy hour each day. Checking out at 4:00 AM was a breeze. I'll definitely stay here again!
