This is a fabulous hotel that is central to the metro and restaurants. The lobby area is stunning! Wish the beds were a bit comfier for the price. Rooms are a good size.

I like the location. Staff is helpful. It is pet friendly. ONE thing that bothers me is the smoking are just outside of the doors. I hate walking through smoke on my way out for a walk. Would really be nice to eliminate that and make the property smoke free.

Unfortunately, one issue seemed to lead into another, the water is in the mini bar so not having the access to that makes it much more challenging. Perfect homebase to explore DC and Georgetown. Easy walk to metro station. Very clean. Helpful staff. Valet parking can be slow to get vehicles. Otherwise no complaints.

This is the second time we stay at fairmont and it never disappoints!! Hotel is quiet allowing restful sleeps. No noises in the hallways or from outside. Beds are ver comfortable and rooms are spacious. Very clean room and areas . Buffet breakfast delicious. Valet parking available. Will defiantly come back !

Great experience. Dining and room service were fast and delicious. One thing to note, the gym and pool are open to members and after a busy day, there weren’t any towels left and I had to go back to the room. Another thing is the daily internet charge which isn’t great and is surprising given the other amenities.

The Hotel didn't have hot water due to a gas leak and it was very hard to get any information about when the hot water will be available again. On top of that they didn't provide any discounts on our stay due to this inconvenience. For almost a 5 star hotel I expect more. We will NOT be staying here again.

Not quite as nice as it used to be
Property is still very nice, but the overall experience has gone down hill a bit. No restaurant for dinner or ability to get room service. The location of the hotel makes that challenging - had to order GrubHub two nights to eat since there isn't a lot around there. There was also some trash in the room when I checked in. Nothing shocking, but didn't align with how I understand the Fairmont historically.

Fairmont DC is quickly becoming my favorite spots to return to whenever I can find the time. I decided to stay at the Fairmont this time around based on the amazing reviews. Pros: -Quiet! (Almost too quiet…?) -Safe -The best doorman/valet ever! -Great location, 15 minute walk to Georgetown and 7 minute walk to my favorite coffee shop -Spacious Rooms -Le Labo toiletries :) -Free access to the gym (An actual membership gym under the lobby) Cons: -Cloudy water?? -Wifi is not free -Dustiness in some areas of the rooms (I stayed in two different rooms during my stay) -Decor in rooms were a little dated -Bar/lobby pretty much desolate at night, no nightlife feel/ events (this could be because the restaurant Juniper doesn’t do dinner service?) Overall, I really appreciated how quiet and safe the hotel felt, but with some of the cons I mentioned, I don’t think my stay was worth the price I paid.

Excellent assistance from the front desk. We weren’t getting more than warm water from the shower and hadbti first run it for approximately five minutes. The front desk sent a repair person to the room and within 30 mins, he had changed a part and we had hot water after a few minutes. The wait staff in the lounge area provided prompt service and the lounge was a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing place to hang out. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Plenty of towels and quality bathroom amenities. Liked having access to a full gym.
