College Visit

We were there for college visits to Georgetown, American, and George Washington. It was a perfect location not only for visiting the colleges,but the Capitals sights as well. Great restaurants are all in walking distance. The hotel courtyard was a lovely place to sit at the end of the night and enjoy a bite and cocktail.

I took my fiancé there for valentine's day, which was also our 2 year anniversary. We have made it sort of a hobby of ours to stay in beautiful / fancy / luxurious hotels. (So far only up and down the east coast, totaling probably 25+ at this point) In all of our stays I've never been more disappointed. I selected this hotel based on its name and reputation: bad decision. I selected their some valentine package to surprise my fiancé and make her feel special. For a price of $800+ for the room alone I stupidly assumed they would at least leave flowers or chocolates or ANYTHING! we got to our room and there was NOTHING!! She was nearly in tears over the fact that there was nothing special or personal in the room. I went to the front desk to check it out. I was told, "they usually bring 'it' to the room after guests check it." I don't understand that. Then I asked what was Included in that package and was told chocolate covered strawberries. They brought us a long plate with 2 chocolate covered something, a broken ball of cake and a sticker!!! Really??? For $800!!! That's only the beginning! ! Our previously set dinner check was $300 for French fries as a starter, some odd horrible rib steak, and my Lobster soup literally had maybe 1 piece of lobster the size of a nickel. I'm not even convinced it was lobster. Im not exaggerating, it was the worst food / dinner I

Absolutely amazing. Only stayed for one night but wish I could have stayed for a week! Customer service was outstanding, never had to open a door or lift a piece of luggage the entire time. The employees went above and beyond to help us feel welcomed and comfortable and get us anything we needed. The room was huge and the breakfast was delicious!

Over rated and over priced

Pros: the staff, somewhat
Cons: Refurbish
Location: excellent location
Terrible...Hotel needs refurbishment asap. The rooms are old, smells stuffy. Did not like the ammenities, towels old , bathrobe old did not feel like a 5 star hotel.
