Location,Location,Location

Pros: Check in a breeze, same for check out.
Cons: Please update the lobby!!!! The furniture is horrible worn. (Huge Hole in sofa arms), stains of questionable origins.
Location: Shirlington Village. Very swanky, top of the line boutiques, eats, off broadway theatre, grocery, library. Also security so you feel safe.
Easy to find shops, restaurants, movies, theaters, coffee shops, specialty shops, grocery store. All right outside your door. metro to DC quickly from corner bus stop. I enjoyed everything about this hotel except for a couple of minor things: 1. Lobby furniture is badly worn, terrible stains on sofa's- Yuck! 2. Beds are the sleep # type which we found hot and hard, even after we found the adjustment button. Under flap on side of top mattress.

Great hotel for the DC experience

Posted Jan 19, 2016
Convenient to DC, this hotel is a perfect place to wind down after your busy day. A variety of good to great restaurants, two different theater formats for entertainment, and a safe environment make this a great weekend experience.

Beautiful place to stay

Posted Jan 18, 2016
First, location - couldn't be better. Hotel is in the small village with shops, restaurants, library, theater, and 24hr grocery store across the street. Shuttle takes you to metro station to go to DC. Staff is very courteous and let us use facilities and shuttle for the rest of the day after we checked out as on the check in day we arrived at 11pm. Only wish that complimentary breakfast was available. They do serve breakfast but it's very pricey, although kids younger than 12 do not get charged for breakfast. Hotel does provide free parking, which is a plus. Overall, very happy with our choice and will choose this hotel again if we are in the area.

A perfect hideaway

Posted Jan 4, 2016
Pros: I liked the ambiance, cleanliness and convenience to restaurants and shops in walking distance.
Cons: I don't think anything needs to be improved as far as I could see.
Location: The location was very convenient to restaurants, stores and entertainment. It was a perfect spot for a staycation.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn and would rate it at a 5 if my room didn't have a funny smell upon entering. i was in the handicapped room and felt a bit subconscious about that considering the fact that I don't have a disability. I went to double check at the front desk and was assured that I was not inconveniencing anyone. I was told that that was all they had available and so I kept the room. My first night was great except every time l left the room and returned there was a funny smell that I just couldn't identify. The next day upon returning to my room the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. Whether they were able to identify where it was coming from is beyond me, but I was not pleased with that due to the fact that I'm allergic. So I simply stayed in my room. Overall it was a pleasant experience if it wasn't for the smells.

Nice hotel with old facilites

Posted Dec 25, 2015
This hotel is located in a very convenient and comfortable community, with a grocery and the parking lot across the street. But the parking lot is only permitted to park at the 4th floor. Many restaurants are nearby and some of them are pretty good. The staff in the hotel are really nice and helpful. I was having a fever when I stayed and they gave me some extra comforters. The room is clean, but the exhaust fan didn't work and the window cannot be opened.

Nice hotel in a nice area.

The Hilton in Shirlington was a great stay in a lovely neighborhood. There were plenty of things to do and plenty of places to eat, in and out of the hotel. The room was large and clean. The staff was accommodating to our needs throughout the stay.
