Amazing Staff, Perfect Price

I stayed here for 1 night while visiting DC with my family. We came early on 8/18/15, way before Check-In, and were able to still use the Shuttle to the Metro. (We were even able to use it for our Adventure on 8/19/15 after Check-out!). The staff at the front desk is AMAZING. They are kind, humorous, and very knowledgeable. Mecca greeted us the first day. She not only took the time to explain the Metro, and best tips, but she even printed out the best Metro schedule for our trip!! When we came back to Check-In, the young woman was very nice also. She got us our cards very quickly, with no issues. The Shuttle Drivers were also great!! Fred is so kind, and the young man that picked us up the second day was great as well!! (He even picked us up at the wrong Metro, since we got off on the wrong side!) The beds/rooms were very clean! Every thing looked almost new. The bathroom was big, and we had the perfect amount of towels. The TV, AC, and hairdryer worked perfect! And there was even a mini fridge/freezer! The free breakfast was even surprising!! They had it all: bagels, muffins, waffles, bacon, eggs, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cinnamon rolls...etc. And all through August, from 8p-12a, there is a FREE Pancake Party!! Perfect for those late nights coming back! We had an amazing time in DC, and loved staying here. You never know what you'll find after booking. The one place you would not want to stay !!

Pros: Absolutely nothing
Location: I could share the pictures of the soiled sheets - which I had taken - but that is not worth it
When we went to the hotel; the room seems cleaned; as we were tired and wanted to take rest; we pulled the sheets, and found that they had not put new cleaned sheets; and the sheet on one of the bedding was soiled. When I approached the hotel attendant and asked for a different room; which is clean, she stated that they did not have any rooms. And finally the attendant came to replace; and this attendant - was worried more about her nails rather than getting all of the things cleaned up in the room. The tables were sticky; which was not cleaned. I would say stay off this Holiday Inn; especially at this location. They were not willing to give refunds also.

Nearby Arlington cemetery for a family burial.

Pros: Great breakfast!
Cons: The next day again, rooms were not cleaned when we returned around 3 pm, so we had to wait in one room while they cleaned the other, then switch, then
I was flying in and meeting three daughters for a family burial ceremony in Arlington. We checked to see if we could check in early once all flights arrived (one daughter was traveling with her 10 month old) - they said rooms (we had two connecting) would/should be ready by 2:30. That was nice, promising.... We got there and they kept saying a few more minutes....the rooms were still not ready at 3:15 - which is 15 minutes beyond the posted check in time! The process was very stressful.

Location: Close enough to D.C., far enough away for sanity.

DC trip

Pros: room, staff, bfst. , location
Cons: fix the spa and get a pool in
Location: lots of restaurants and funs things.....its on hiway #1, one of the main arteries
The holiday inn express was clean and neat and staff were friendly. The bfst. was very good and the room was fine. The only small complaint was the "Jacuzzi" was out for repairs and there was no pool available. We were told to walk next door to the sister hotel and use theirs.
