We came to town for a quick visit to see the sights. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, the bed was great, we had a very nice stay. The bellman and valet staff in particular were very kind and helpful.
I had two issues: When we went to our room the night before checking out, I asked at the front desk if we could use our resort credit (is that the name?) for breakfast in the morning. She said yes, and anything above the $10/day would be added to our bill and settled at checkout. The next morning when we checked out, the entire bill for breakfast was still on our bill When I asked about it, the woman checking us out said we couldn't use that money toward breakfast. I relayed my conversation with the clerk the night before and there was some eye rolling and talking under her breath but she took the charge off of our bill
Also, the small 'convenience' store located in the lobby is anything but. They charge outrageous prices ($5 for a seltzer and $14 for a croissant sandwich) but they aren't very courteous or helpful. In an effort to get cash in the hands of the valet and bellman, my husband asked for change for a $20 bill at the front desk. There wasn't any change there, so I went to the restaurant, no change there either. When I asked in the store, the clerk said first they didn't have any, then that she couldn't open the register. Then she said if I buy something, she would maybe have change. SO frustrating.
