Great Value

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: Location, price, and room size.
Cons: Nothing could be improved that wouldn't drive up the price.
Location: During the week they have buses about every 20 minutes to Union station aka the Smithsonian & Mall which is only 10 minutes away.
The room was bigger than expected. I didn't realize it was at a university for the deaf and hard of hearing which was confusing at first. But the staff was kind and handed me pen and paper when they didn't understand me. The location was close to everything. My family and I felt safe and comfortable. The front desk could all speak and were helpful. I would stay there again.

We had a horrible experience with the Kellogg Conference Hotel. We had difficulty checking in, we were told we had two rooms booked instead of just one. When I explained I had cancelled one room (within the appropriate time allowed), we were told it was our fault since we booked through a third party booking company. We should have expected issues.... The check-in staff, was horribly rude, made sarcastic remarks, and brushed us off. Since we had to wait for the hotel manager the next morning (which he took care of the check-in issues), we headed to our room. Which had a dirt stained bathtub, rusty door above the shower, no fitted sheets on the beds (only top sheets), and dirty coffee cups. The next day while at our destination, we felt our bags had been rummaged through. Our clothes and daily medications were not where they were originally left. I would not recommend this hotel to any friends or family. The pictures were nice on the booking site, which were accurate for the hotel lobby. However, with our personal experiences, we will not be staying at the Kellogg Conference Hotel again.

The hotel it was nice and the staff but the location was not so great. We did not think it was on the actual college campus that was gated. You had to drive everywhere you went to.

Nice stay

Great location, next to the Union Market ( similar to chelsea market in NYC). Hotel is located inside the college campus 15 min away from the capitol and white house. Parking is $30 for the day. Hotel staff was friendly.

Wasn't aware the room was on a college campus. The stay and the room were good. Didn't appreciate the $30/night parking fee.

Pros: The cleanliness.
Location: We had appointments so did not have much time but we did make it to see some of the monuments. Awesome.
The hotel was clean and close to where we needed to be. I appreciated the friendly staff who were always willing to help.

Shuttle takes you to and from union station. Quiet campus. Parking and a playground (10 minute walk) on campus. Could have more variety at their market.
