While the hotel itself is undoubtedly lovely, my favorite part of my stay at the Royal Sonesta had to be the Front Desk staff! Both agents that helped me out were knowledgeable, kind and efficient.

No hot water and shower didn’t work, maintenance guy was no help basically took off the shower head and told us to shower that way or use the tub however didn’t have no hot water. We were in hurry given we tickets to a concert and the only reason we came into town. Had to go to show without showering after running all day and a walk in the city upon arrival. Manager offered to take on the drinks, which was one a piece smh! Rooms are dated! No real place for doggies to do their business or disposable of poopy bags. I got a suite room for three of us, my son didn’t have sheets, pillow or blanket for the pull out. Privacy doors didn’t close they were broke! Currently looking for a refund and I keep getting the run around! Manager offered a small discount but this mess up our plans and we paid for functioning room.

Loved our room, the in house restaurant was soooo good and fresh. Super quiet for being in a prime area. Housekeeping was super attentive. Front desk was personable. Overall a great hotel. My sister stayed at the same time but in a suite which was a great meeting place for all of us and the large circle table in her room was great so we could all dine together. The hotel is literally a 1-10 minute walking distance to anything.

VERY NOISY AT NIGHT. We got zero sleep, the room next to us had a party, they were cussing the security out on several occasions. Smoke filled the hallway and very hard to breathe. We had small kids, it was very annoying and disrespectful. On top of the AC unit blowing out hot air, very stuffy at night. They came to fix it and it started blowing hot air again, and the toilet kept clogging up. I prepaid for breaking and restaurant did not understand the food was already paid from through my room. I have stay before and never had any issues like this. I will not be returning to this property. It was $315 gone to waste for one day.

They lied about hidden fees. They said it would be 54 dollars plus tax for parking. I specified and said is this per day or per stay? They said per stay. This was not the case. Parking was listed as an amenity but they charged me for it. Then, they also said I would have the 30 dollar fee for water and coffee waived. They charged me for it. The lights flickered in every room and there was no vent in the bathroom making everything extremely wet.

Great stay, staff & management were very friendly and welcoming. The only thing that I would add, is that it would have been nice to have extra pillows and blankets in the room. We also had one day when housekeeping didn’t come to our room, we managed to get fresh towels. Aside from that, I highly recommend this Hotel! The location is also convenient to everything!

So we stayed here only for 1 night. The room was much smaller than what the pictures online showed. The bedframe sticks way out so everytime we walked around the bed we stubbed our foot on the corner. Beds are also super firm! And lastly at 830am they were doing construction in the room next to us and the drilling was so loud it was vibrating our walls! We were not happy for almost 300 a night it was so not worth it.

The royal sonesta is a good hotel. The reception personnel proved to be quite incompetent. I had 4 separate reservations that specifically wanted billed to my company’s cc. They kept charging the guests on their own credit cards. I had to visit the reception desk at least 6 times in order to correct the problem. Also, there were charging my guests for parking when no one had a car. Having booked w Expedia, the destination fees were waived. The hotel was still charging all the rooms these fees. Very little in the way of apologies and quite a bit of attitude and excuses. The personnel on house keeping, restaurant and doormen/bellhops was very helpful and professional. Will never go back there. Good service seems to be a thing of the past.
