I want to live at this hotel!!!!!

Posted Mar 27, 2017
Pros: The spa area jacuzzi, sauna, gym and pool are included in the price of the room. The large pool area is open 24 hours. Excellent wi-fi reception.
Cons: The in room refrigerator has sensors that charge for items if you move them to make room in the cold storage area, but this was corrected at checkout.
Location: Beautiful location, property and within close walking distance to the Jefferson memorial, metro, and National Mall. Short Uber rides to restaurants.
From the minute you arrive at the Mandarin Oriental you realize this is an experience to savor. The location is convenient to the metro, the national mall and monuments but still secluded on the water. The doorman greets and welcomes you to the property. The check-in desk offers tea and a relaxing lobby while the room is being prepared. The guest relations officer explains the amenities and answers any questions regarding the facilities, making sure you are aware that they are available at any time to assist with your stay. They provided a humidifier and coffee pot in my room for convenience. The housekeeping staff offered exceptional care to the newly remodeled room and my belongings. When a pillow cover inadvertently went to the laundry they located and returned it immediately. Such attention to detail and concern for guests is rare and greatly appreciated. The spa facilitators provided a tour of this relaxing and beautiful area and were available always to assist with the sauna and jacuzzi. The spa manager has a wonderful staff who can schedule pampering services. The hotel concierge explained the layout of the nearby attractions, suggested great restaurants, and was able to alert us to an opportunity to view the African American museum even though it is booked through May. Even the in-room dining was outstanding.

Luxurious Hotel Walking Distance From Downtown DC

Posted Mar 17, 2017
The hotel in general was great. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful which was one of the most important factors for my family and I. There was a concierge that was available at all times to book restaurant reservations as well as reservations for other attractions. The restaurant we wanted to go to was completely booked and out concierge was able to find us a reservation that same night! Also, the hotel is walking distance from downtown D.C. and attractions such as The Tidal Basin/The Thomas Jefferson Memorial, The Holocaust Museum, and The Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

Great hotel near the National Mall

Posted Feb 7, 2017
Pros: Restaurants, the fitness center, location near the National Mall, superior customer service, the rooms!
Cons: Seats at the lobby bar are always reserved.
Location: Not far from the airport, a couple of blocks from the National Mall and 10 minutes from the Kennedy Center. Right in the middle of DC
The Mandarin Oriental experience in Washington, DC is consistent with their other hotels, from my experience. Excellent location, efficient service, great menus and the rooms are always perfectly ready. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Mandarin Oriental in Miami, Florida was also fantastic.

Fantastic hotel in downtown DC. This is the best 5 star hotel in DC. Staff is friendly, helpful, rooms are big, especially with 2 beds. For family of 4, we had adjoining rooms which was great. You can't go wrong with this hotel.
