Nice hotel, but a distance (by Metro) to DC

Pros: Clean room, good breakfast
Cons: Terrible hotel shuttle service. Shuttle was to pick me up in 10 minutes, but it took 40 minutes. Shuttle next day left 15 minutes late for Metro.
Nice hotel, but shuttle service is very undependable and tardy. Drivers don't apologize for their tardiness, and hotel staff doesn't either. When you advertise that you are very close to the Metro stop (which is true) and tell your guest that you will pick them up in 10 minutes, arriving in 40 minutes without explanation is unacceptable. In addition, when you have scheduled departure times from hotel, you should not leave 15 minutes later than your scheduled departure time. Very disappointing!

Room for improvement

The hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The carpet in the room was buckled, stained and worn out. The tub was peeling. The wood surfaces on the furniture were tacky and sticky. The sofa in the room looked like it was 50 years old. Extremely overpriced for a significantly subpar property. The staff was nice, however.

It was ok to for a one night business trip.

The continental breakfast wasn't very good. I would have liked to see some fruit and yogurt options, even just maybe bananas and apples. It wasn't very clean and it was very dark and depressing. The bathrooms need updating and they had lingering hairs on the floor and in the bathtub.

Not worth it

I do not recommend. The lobby looks great and that's clearly where they take their photos to promote the place, but the rooms are shabby and unclean, there was no hot water for my shower, the walls are paper thin (I fell asleep to a chorus of moaning), and the hotel sold me a $15 phone charger that didn't even end up working.

Hotel Has Deteriorated

Disappointed .. Hotel has definitely deteriorated. The toilet was stained a brownish color. Both beds had lumpy duvet covered blankets. I had to try to straighten them out myself in order to survive comfortably on the bed. The curtains were torn, with slots on them and stained a brownish color. My room was 916 or 918 I believe. I used to stay here quite frequently as well as refer others as a quick get away but not anymore
