Close to fed ex field

Left hotel at 10am was at the stadium and parked at 1010. Staff was friendly helpful. Yes some stains on tje carpet here and there but so what everything felt clean and looked clean.

Good, but not good enough...

Pros: Location in relation to Metro, shuttle to and from Metro, overall quality of rooms
Cons: Hot water in shower, can hear everything in hallways
Location: A few malls and spots to eat -- hotel is off a highway -- but the area isn't the greatest, albeit not "bad" by any means.
I'd have expressed my concerns to the staff...had they asked. My room (605) did not have hot water in the shower or tub -- the handle was also loose -- so I ended up filling a bucket in the sink with warm water and pouring it into the tub many, many, many times so I could at least have a hot bath. There was also loud cleaning work being done to the furniture in the lobby upon check-in, making for a bit of a clumsy experience there as well. The hotel itself is nice as was the room, and the (free) shuttle to and from the Metro station was a quality touch as it is not the most easy or pleasant walk should you choose to go that route. But I expected more...don't think I'd stay here again.

Bathroom had hair on the floor at check in. Yuk! 4 people were in room and 1 comp shampoo/conditioner. Bring toothpaste. Hotel guests got in a bar fight in the lobby. Blood everywhere, man thrown through window, broken glass everywhere even the next morning. (Window not replaced). People partying in the parking lot at 4 am. The staff was nice but I wouldn't stay there again.

Pros: Nice staff, aims to please. Complimentary hot breakfast.
Cons: This is not a three-star hotel. Condition of our room was not of that calibre. Disappointed. Chose this hotel over cheaper one- and two-star hotels
Location: Very convenient to Orange subway line. Easy to access downtown DC. Close to 95.
As noted below, we selected this hotel because of the three-star rating. It was more expensive. But we were disappointed with the room itself. Not three-star.

Nice hotel, but check you bed linen!

Pros: Atmosphere, and cleanliness.
Cons: Offer microwaves in the room for free
The hotel overall was pleasing and a relaxed atmosphere. The only thing disappointing was that the comforter that was on the bed had makeup from a previous guest all underneath it meaning that the linen was not changed after another guest used it or not cleaned. A microwave should also be included in the room without charging an additional fee.

Outdated, needs a makeover

Pros: Location near metro. Free area shuttle service.
Cons: New linen is definitely required and better customer service from staff members.
Close proximity to where I needed to be. Metro, MARC and Amtrak are close. The hotel offers free area shuttle service. Most of the staff was friendly which outweighed the rude and nasty staff members. The negatives - the highway noise was overwhelming, there was a bad smell in my room, the AC was extremely loud, and the shuttle pick up service was not reliable. The shuttle is on a schedule but the majority of the times we waited an extra 20 minutes or more for service. Seems like the staff would forget to stick to the schedule or forget customers called for service. Also, business travelers be prepared - the local taxis do not take credit cards; carry cash. And, if you request a receipt, the taxi drivers will give you a hard time.

Had bad smell coming out the AC, and stuff was quick to fix. Old hotel, but big rooms. Would come back.

This place was in a very good location at a reasonable price. Convenient to everything you needed. I'm a BB parent road warrior .. stay all over the country at BB tounaments ....usually looking for something in a safe area, clean, without noise. When I'm not doing that, I'm an IP attorney who stays in 5* hotels that I never pay for... ;). This hotel had a very good above-average breakfast -- real eggs, sausage, french toast, hashbrowns, prepped in a kitchen ... not in a microwave by the front desk guy or maids -- that is the standard for AAU BB. There were huge wedding parties both nights, but on the 7th floor I didn't hear a peep so book upstairs if you need quite after 9:00. So if you want to relax.... close to DC ... and do it at a very reasonable price... check this place out. Not sure what it is near....except BB complex 5 miles away.
