Outdated, needs a makeover

Close proximity to where I needed to be. Metro, MARC and Amtrak are close. The hotel offers free area shuttle service. Most of the staff was friendly which outweighed the rude and nasty staff members. The negatives - the highway noise was overwhelming, there was a bad smell in my room, the AC was extremely loud, and the shuttle pick up service was not reliable. The shuttle is on a schedule but the majority of the times we waited an extra 20 minutes or more for service. Seems like the staff would forget to stick to the schedule or forget customers called for service. Also, business travelers be prepared - the local taxis do not take credit cards; carry cash. And, if you request a receipt, the taxi drivers will give you a hard time.
