Hotel Review

Posted Aug 20, 2015
My room was way too small. The bathroom was hard to access,. This hotel was on the Motel 6 level and should be downgraded.

Convenient and reasonably priced.

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Very nice - staff was friendly and accommodating. We didn't use the pool but it looked inviting. Room was large. Sink outside bathroom but could close off with door. Carpet was wet under air conditioner and room smelled a little musty at first. Nice free breakfast and newspapers in morning. Would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel close to DC - ride Metro Yellow Line

Posted Aug 5, 2015
Pros: The caring staff, wonderful ammenities, quiet and safe environment.
Cons: Our room was on the bottom floor and end of the building, which might explain our Wifi not working very well in the room but fine outside our door.
Location: Hotel is a 3-mile drive to Metro Station (Huntington). Parking costs $4.85/day. 20 minute ride on Metro to DC. Mount Vernon is only 5 minutes away.
Wow! Can't say enough about this hotel and staff! We booked our stay for five nights online, but after calling and making a request in advance, we were able to change our room to non-smoking when we arrived. The hotel clerk, Christy, honored Expedia's out-dated printed roll-away costs of $7/night. The roll-away was already in our room and comfortable to sleep on. Christy also gave us a Metro Smartcard with money already on it when I inquired about the best way to travel on the Metro, etc. We were deeply humbled by Christy's care and kindness towards us. Our room, which was three separate rooms, was very spacious! Our sleeping area had two very comfortable queen beds + roll-away, micro, fridge and big flat screen TV. Our bathroom had a sink with long counter, toilet, shower and tub. A room connected these two, which included a sink and tall closet. Having the extra room to change in and second sink, was such a blessing to our family! Our internet connection wasn't working well the first night, and Christy went above the call of duty, by coming to our room to get us running, even though her shift had ended. The breakfast was amazing and always well supplied. We enjoyed the waffles with a variety of toppings, biscuits & gravy, eggs, bacon, toast, bagel, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, tea, apple and orange juice and fresh fruit. What a great way to start the day! Cozy dining available inside & out. Pool was well maintained & staffed.

Pros: Great breakfast
Cons: Property need some updating
Location: Close to train stations DC and Mt.vernon
My wife and 3 kids had a great time visiting DC we took the train in and saved that hassle of trying to find parking in DC. The staff provided us with a roll away bed ($8.00) The breakfast was good with many options to choose from.Saving money on breakfast for 5 is a blessing good deal clean and pleasant staff

Close, but no cigar!

Hotel room was old and outdated, there was hair in the tub, on the floor, on the wall and even on a clean towel!

Clean

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: Close to main road,
Cons: AC filter cleaned, parking lot had some sort of leak in the paving
Location: the metro station wasn't too far, but too far to walk to, Plenty of fast food and other chain restaurants close by.
The employees were nice enough, of course, some more than others. The room had a funky "old" smell, most likely from the AC, but was clean. Nothing fancy, but fine if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the room. Pool was fine, but always crowded. Breakfast was good and lots of options for being a "continental"

Good hotel for the price.

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: The price for the rooms.
Cons: Renovation of the rooms probably could do well due to the age of the hotel.
Location: Close to restaurants and stores. Plenty of places to get gas and food. Costco is nearby too.
For the price that we paid, the hotel was okay for our family's stay. The hotel is dated but still comfortable. The rooms are a little cramped unfortunately. Breakfast was good except it was very crowded. The location is good.
