Nice and small hotel in very convenient location.

Posted May 18, 2017
Pros: Small and convenient
Cons: Restaurant, and probably the stairs.
Location: Sunday Farmers market was fantastic!! We just happened on it but it was a wonderful experience. Wish we could have brought some of that home.
The location of our hotel was excellent for walking to restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff was nice enough. The stairs were "good exercise"! The rooms were very small and the bathroom was smaller. Also the lighting in the room was very dim for us and the security of using our room key in the elevator was a little annoying. However, we were pleased overall.

Thank you for your review. We are working hard to continue improving and are glad to hear you were pleased overall. We do apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. Our rooms are priced by size and view, with our standard queen being our smallest room. We have an ADA entrance to bypass the entrance stairs on our L1 level. We are working to make that more clear in our signage and communication. It is a reality the at enhanced security makes life less convenient, but we do take security very seriously. Thank you for being our guest and we hope you will give us the opportunity to serve you again.

Mysterious and Not So Mysterious Noises

Posted May 17, 2017
Pros: Location, rate
Cons: No walkway or ramp to enter lobby, so must schlep suitcase up stairs. Does not seem ADA compliant.
There was a droning noise in room (not the a/c). So, not a restful sleep. And, the vents were amplifiers of conversations in other rooms. Felt like I was invading privacy.

Thank you for your candid feedback, Karen. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced with our stairway and the noise. We do have an ADA entrance that is inside the entrance to the garage with direct access to the guest elevators. Our bellmen and valet attendants are usually good about assisting anyone with luggage and we are sorry you were not helped. I have shared your comments with our Chief Engineer to see if anything can be done about the noise you heard. We will certainly address it as best as possible. Thank you for staying with us and we hope you will consider giving us an opportunity to regain your trust in our service. We regularly do a much better job of meeting our guest's expectations. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if I can be or further assistance. Sincerely, John Durbin

Very close to DuPont Circle and the Metro.

Posted May 3, 2017
Pros: Great location, close to shopping, dining, the Metro and less than 2 miles from the Mall.
The rooms are spacious, clean and well-maintained. The elevators are fast and rarely crowded. The hotel staff is professional and courteous.

Very nice hotel close to everything!

Posted Apr 30, 2017
Pros: Modern and updated decor.
Cons: The price point for the snack items at the bar.
Location: Several shops and restaurants nearby.
Excellent stay and would recommend this hotel. It's in close proximity to several attractions, shops and restaurants. The area was really nice. Staff were friendly. The hotel amenities were great (the snack bar had lots of great options but was a little expensive though). The room was a good size and clean.

Nice

Posted Apr 21, 2017
Pros: Modern feel
Cons: Reduce noise of A/C. No elevator to enter lobby. Difficult to lift luggage upon check in
Location: lots of great shops and restaurants within 15 minutes in all directions.
Rooms was a bit small but still comfortable. The A/C was extremely loud.

Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced as a result of the A/C noise or our stairs. We do have an ADA entrance near our garage that avoids those stairs to get to the guest elevators. We are working to replace or quiet AC units. We hope you will consider us again. Our rooftop pool and bar re-open in May with great views and fun activities.

Nice Hotel close to metro for sight seeing in DC.

Posted Apr 11, 2017
Pros: Clean, Comfortable, undisturbed when we requested not be disturbed.
Cons: There could be a better information method or booklet in the room to provide information about the amenities available in the hotel.
Location: The farmers market on the weekend is fabulous.
The metro is set up for people that live and work in the DC area. I highly suggest downloading the metro maps, tri planner, ap or whatever you need to best plan your stops and starts to get around in DC. The uber drivers are very friendly and helpful in the area. The staff at the Embassy Row Hotel were very polite and helpful. I made a mistake in booking and did not have a hotel booked for the first night of our stay, the hotel was completely full and the customer contact person advised me of an app to download to search for hotels in the area at a discounted price. The app booking saved me a lot of money, as I did not have to pay the walk in price.

Thank you so much for your review, Gingerbread! We are continuing to work on improvements and your feedback helps. We do have an in-room collateral piece that is meant to provide the basic information, but we will continue to improve on that. As our rooftop pool re-opens in May, there will be supplemental information posted in our lobby as we have many activities scheduled. We hope you will return as our creative team hopes to serve you again.

Mid in DC

Nice location and facility. Unfortunately, my room was just front of the elevetor and every time people come from and in the elevator I must listen to the noise that they made (even in midnight and early morning).

Nice place to stay.

Posted Mar 30, 2017
Cons: the additional charge added to the cost was not something that I expected. This was the only bad experience.
This was a very nice place to stay. A safe clean area close to food and shops. Also close to the Capitol area.

We appreciate your business and your feedback. Parking in downtown DC is scarce and we are restricted to valet parking only, which increases the cost. Our creative team is looking forward to the opportunity to serve you again soon. Our fantastic rooftop pool and bar re-opens in May with great views of the city!
