Pros: Feel, rooms, staff, location.
Cons: Some oder carpets could be renewed.
Location: Starbucks, restaurants and CVS 2 minutes walk down the road. Embassy row and interesting buildings around the area. Walkable to Liberty Mall.
Classy feel. Nice rooms, bathrooms and furniture. Friendly staff. Free occasional cookies in lobby and water in room. Nice well priced breakfast and bar and grille restaurants. Wood paneling decor in lobby and gold touches throughout. Impressive entrances and stairways with chandeliers. Try to get a room with a view of the street as that makes a difference.

Pros: The room was small, but very comfortable, and clean. We had an interior room that faced a sort of courtyard in back, so it was fairly quiet.
Cons: Staff were satisfactory, but not particularly friendly.
This is a well maintained historic hotel in a fabulous location, just blocks from DuPont Circle. There are many great restaurants nearby in all price ranges, good places to go for a stroll along Massachusetts Ave while perusing the embassies.

Staff was welcoming We got there. Breakfast buffet was good and the staff at breakfast was helpful. Room dresser drawers didn't open. Room was spacious. Wi-Fi didn't work very well. Business center computers didn't work to print boarding passes but front desk was kind enough to print them.

Great location, wonderful old colonial feel

Pros: Right in the middle of everything, but just slightly off to the side so its still quiet and intimate.
Location: Visit the Phillips Collection one block away!
I love this hotel and have stayed here many times. The staff is always great and treat you like an old friend. Love the stuffy, old colonial bar. SO cozy after a long day. My only critique this time: the weekend "all you can eat" buffet in the dining room is way below par. Plastic plates? Plastic silverware? Tired scrambled eggs. Runny oatmeal. Stale pastries. What is this Motel 6? Just tacky and it brings down the otherwise upscale feel of the hotel.

Beautiful Historic Hotel

Pros: The location and the breakfast.
Cons: Put some sort of heat source in the bathroom.
Location: The hotel is on Embassy Row so you view the different embassies. The Washington National Cathedral is up the street.
This historic hotel is located on Embassy Row in the Georgetown area of Washington, DC. It is about a two-minute walk from the Metro and the bus. I was staying there because I was attending a ceremony at the Washington National Cathedral which was just a few bus stops away. There are restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but the hotel also has a very nice dining room. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The only thing was that there was no heat source in the bathroom so it was quite chilly in there. Also, it takes a long time for the water to get hot, so if you just jump in the shower and let the water run on you, you would be in for a rude awakening. Other than that, the room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
