This hotel is small but well run . The lobby is welcoming a relaxing. Every employee was friendly and provided top notch service. We got there on a Sunday about 10:00am with the expectation that we would not be able to check in early and we'd just park the car and head out for a day of sightseeing. Well, a room was ready so we were able to check in . Parking the car was expensive $50, but so is e every other hotel. If you want convenience you must pay. This hotel was easy walk to George Washington university (reason for trip was to tour colleges). We walked to the Lincoln memorial, the monument, the White House. The hotel is walking distance to many shops and restaurants in Georgetown, but we were so tired after our tours we uber-ed it at night. Another reviewer commented on the musty smell in the hall, and yes I smelled it to, but thankfully it was not in the room. Rooms clean, relaxing . Moulton Brown soaps and lotions nice touch. Room service menu very limited but food was good. All in all a nice hotel. Mostly business people seem to be their clientele.

Karen, thank you for a wonderful review of Melrose Georgetown Hotel. I am delighted to hear that our modern interior design suited your preferences. Our associates are continuously striving to provide excellent service and we will be sure to share your kind words with the team. Unfortunately, parking is quite competitive in DC though I do assure you we keep our rates in line with the local market. We hope you will be joining us again the next time your travels bring you to the nation's capital!
