You don't have to break in ...

Posted Aug 12, 2016
... to enjoy THE best "new" hotel in DC! Everything about the newly renovated Watergate a Hotel is spectacular ... beautiful, comfortable, and a feast for the eyes! But put aside the beauty and comfort -- the Watergate's best selling point for a DC destination is ... its unmatched caring, friendly staff! From Zach -- the gifted humorist in charge of the lobby (good call putting him on front lines ... he sets the table oh so well!) -- to the generous check-in artists, to the marvelous staff of the Kingbird restaurant, we enjoyed the best wedding anniversary of our lives! We saw "Phantom" at Kennedy Center and stayed at the Watergate! BLISS! Already planning on coming back for Christmas! I salute the entire Watergate staff! Thank you so much!

Dear PopPop, What an astounding review! Your comments have created quite the buzz today and we thank you for sharing. Zach is a gem, one of many at the hotel, and he was tickled to learn that you enjoyed the hospitality of he and his colleagues. We are thrilled you had an opportunity to dine at Kingbird and we look forward to seeing you back during the holiday season, if not sooner. Once more we wish you and your darling a Happy Anniversary and we thank you for sharing your review. Warm Regards, The Watergate Hotel

Convenient luxury

Posted Aug 11, 2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing.
Location: It is adjacent to the Kennedy center.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The entire hotel staff was courteous and smiling warmly. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. Directly adjacent to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, it is the perfect place to stay if you are seeing a show.

Nice hotel close to Kennedy center and monuments

Posted Aug 8, 2016
Pros: Very clean and good location
Cons: Training for parking staff and closer attention to details
Location: Kennedy center and Washington monuments.
Hotel was beautiful. Staff still needs a little more training. Took a long time to retreive car on a very hot and humid morning. Waited about 15 minutes during early morning Saturday departure. Desk asked what paper I wanted in morning and it was never delivered.
