Nice hotel...great location.

Very nice hotel just a short walk to downtown Georgetown. Fantastic concierge & hotel staff, convenient overnight parking w/valet, beautiful large bathroom w/rainfall showerhead...very nice & exceptional value for the $$$. Will definitely stay here again.

Hidden costs

Posted Nov 29, 2015
While the hotel room itself was nice, very comfortable bed, good shower, there were a plethora of hidden costs added up became a bit of a nuisance. Wi-fi isn't free unless you sign up to become a "preferred member". Now it's free to sign up, but why not just give free wifi? Parking cost $48 on top of the room fee. The minibar and fridge have automatic scales under them much like the altar under the golden idol in the first Indiana Jones movie. If you picked up the stuff in the minibar even just to look at it and didn't replace it within 30 sec, you paid for it, regardless of whether or not you ate it. Same goes for the stuff in the fridge. The fridge comes fully stocked so if you tried to squeeze in some of your leftovers after your nice dinner that night, you get charged for that because the scales in the fridge will pick it up. Again, it was a nice hotel, but considering what we paid just to rent the room, we thought it was a little unreasonable to try and squeeze extra cash out of us in all of the above mentioned ways.

Dear Connor, Thank-you for your recent stay and feedback. We were pleased to read that you enjoyed the hotel, including our luxurious HeavenlyBeds. We value our customers input and while city parking fees are a necessity, we are reviewing our minibar offering to provide a more guest friendly option in the near future. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and we look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Washington, DC.

nice hotel; be ready to pay ridiculous $40 (minimum) for overnight parking unless you're lucky to find parking space on the street and ready to leave by 7 a.m.

Thank-you for your stay and Happy Thanksgiving! Yes, unfortunately parking in the DC area comes at city pricing but hope our nice hotel and location made up for it. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Westin Georgetown on your next visit to Washington, DC.

this site neglected to give the hotel our prepaid reservation and we had to wait over one hour for the room.

Annoyed at having to pay for wifi, especially given this hotel's location.

Centrally located

Posted Nov 2, 2015
Pros: Comfortable in every sense of the way, from the location to the beds!
Cons: Restaurant/bar could be open later.
Location: Easy access to nearby bars and restaurants. Close enough to Dupont Circle to walk.
I really have no complaints about this hotel. It is centrally located in the sense that it is close to both Georgetown and Dupont Circle. However, keep in mind that it is a few blocks away from where all the GT stores and restaurants are. Rooms were comfortable I have no complaints about the beds or linens (but then again, I never do at Westin hotels)!

Nice hotel in good location Don't Use Self Parking

Posted Oct 25, 2015 on Hotels
Do not use self parking. Parking garage is difficult to get to and you have to go through a series of doors that are difficult to open with luggage. Terrible self parking for 45 a night.

A nice place to sleep.

Posted Oct 13, 2015
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet.
Cons: Put a couch in the room. You have tons of wasted space. Add some comfortable seating. Free in room Wi-Fi.
Location: Good location. All the hotel doesn't offer is nearby.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The trouble is the hotel has little to nothing to offer for the price. Not even a pot of coffee. Makes a cup at time. everything else was priced 5 star. the fridge, the internet, parking (at any price a good thing in D.C.) Rooms are clean, but there is absolutely nothing offered with the room except bed and bath. P.s. The towels are hard as a cheap motel and the in room robe looks like the one you don't wear when company comes.

Thank-you for sharing your feedback. While we are pleased to know you enjoyed the clean hotel, friendly staff and HeavenlyBed, we appreciate that we could have done better with the towel and robe quality, we will be sure to get the old out of circulation. Please note wifi is free with SPG.
