I love that to live💋 Visited National Harbor on a spur of the moment invite. We had so much fun!
Kids ran and climbed all over the Awakening, we rode the Capital Wheel, visited the Peep Store (yes, those Peeps), and had a fantastic brunch! The Air Force Band was playing in the park.
Beautiful spot! Fun for family. George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe ate here. Gadsby's Tavern was built in 1785 If you love candy this is quite the discovery! This store specializes in all things Peeps (the love em or hate em marshmallow Easter treats - me? I love em). I came home with a mammoth Peep that rivals my 40 lb. dog. Nation Harbor Washington DC, beautiful sunset along with Potomac River I lived facing the harbor for half a year and I've lived in the DMV area for 2.5 years. All that time and yet I never visited the National Harbor. It's absolutely beautiful! The Ferris wheel is fascinating at night and pretty during the day. The night life is hopping and there are a slew of restaurants. I was there for a show but I can't wait to go back to explore further! Cherry Blossom Riverboat Beautiful, quaint little town worth exploring for a day. It embodies the history of the area. Day 18 - Driving through Alexandria, Louisiana. This visitor centre is a great one. Free coffee, lots of chairs for weary travellers to rest on (including rocking chairs on the porch) and 24hr washrooms. It gives great info about Louisiana and even some on Mississippi.
The tree in the room is an old one, it was sweet 16 when the declaration of independence was signed. A little piece of the past Food was amazing service even better

Nice fall evening View from atop the Capital Wheel outside of DC. Stunning view. Drowning in the sandy shores along the Potomac. March 2015
Come to this park and see an 1855 lighthouse from the outside only, on Potomac river with walking and biking trails. #Colorful Right below where I am standing in this photo is one of the original border markers that George Washington used to create the District of Columbia.
This view is pretty great too.
#EndlessSummer Love the view from the bridge
#green I was new to Alexandria and exploring the area and came across this scenic area in the middle of a neighborhood. It was a perfect day and great opportunity for a photo like this.
#EndlessSummer I love the sunsets when I can see them Pretty MGM Sunset Looking for a night out? Say no more! Jumbo TV, restaurants, stores, and another site to see in “The Awakening.” While at the lighthouse on Potomac, see this south corner boundary stone, where the District of Columbia began. Walk the trails and in a few minutes you are in MD and VA. #Colorful When in old town Alexandria VA, stop by Mishas for a pastry or coffee. The coffee is light and enjoyable. It's comparable to bigger names and a personal preference to the locals around here. They have a creative menus chart and offer home and hand made gluten free goodies as well as dog treats. Old town Alexandria is highly enjoyable, just across the street is Sacred Circle, pick up a lovely candle or book there.

Families were all over the park area playing games or relaxing in the sun. People were taking their boats out and the air smelt strongly if good food.
