They were in the process of remodeling, so I'm sure it will be better when it is finished.

Under renovation

You should know that it's getting a cosmetic renovation only. Loud workers early in the AM. If you use a wheelchair, ADA parking is not to code - on a steep slope. Elevator Is extremely small. Stairs do not have required life-safety signage. Tripping hazards at elevator to hallways and at guest room bathroom thresholds. Room looked clean but the dark flooring hid long dark hair left behind. Otherwise - staff, breakfast ok.

We've addressed the sloped parking lot and working on solutions to this, unfortunately, the elevator cannot be changed. We will work with housekeeping on additional training to ensure the guestrooms are 100% at all times.

Average hotel but has a few perks

The hotel had a free shuttle that would take you to the metro, a free continental breakfast, and free parking, which was great. The hotel was undergoing construction when I stayed, which meant that the pool/fitness center was unavailable. However, when I checked in and went to my room, there were blood-stained sheets on my bed. I told the hotel staff, and they quickly provided me with clean sheets, and I had no further problems, but obviously blood-stained sheets aren't acceptable. The hotel staff was alright-most were friendly, but a few employees were a little unfriendly.

Hotel mit modernen schönen Zimmern.

Sehr angenehm eingerichtete Zimmer und sehr gutes Frühstück mit richtigem Geschirr und Besteck. Im Dunkeln war das Hotel aber nicht einfach zu finden.

Decent hotel

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was under construction and I think our room had been renovated but it wasn't top notch. We couldn't adjust the air conditioning so it was a little stuffy and my husband had trouble sleeping. Otherwise it was nice. They had a nice breakfast and we appreciated the shuttle service to the metro station. Definitely worth the price.

Hopefully once the renovations are done they will invest in New linens and towels. Hotel has potential but needs lots of work.

Wait until renovations finished and new brand.

I paid extra to stay in a Howard Johnson but unfortunately the property was not acceptable. Issues were due to transition of brand to Wyndham Garden Hotel and subsequent renovations: Couldn't find the street entrance at night because the signs weren't lit and the hotel was way up a lane on a hill. Daytime you could see it from the interstate but hotel is not visible from the street address. Looks like they were creating a new better entrance from another road. Website said lobby was under renovation and in a temp location but much of the hotel and parking lot had construction debris and torn up carpet on our floor. At least we got one of the nicely renovated rooms. Upon check-in the clerk had me sign off acknowledging 'No A/C' which was OK because it was only May 1, 2016. However there was no heat either and it was cold in the room. Didn't help that the lobby doors were propped open with construction trash cans which let the wind blow down the hallways. Not very secure either. Also no in-room safe. As expected workers started making noise around 7:30am but I also heard some other banging and pipes rattling at 3, 4, and 5 am. Elevator didn't work in the morning either possibly because they were working on it. After accepting the morning clerk's apology I said I understand and it looks like it will be nice when it's done. Nonetheless I cancelled my second night there and got a prompt refund from Expedia. This review may be void once the name and address are changed.

The hotel was under construction. It might have been better to close the hotel and reopen once construction was finished.

During construction we remain open as all guestrooms are brand new and wanted to showcase this as well as share our transformation with our guests. Dissappointed

Pros: The hotel was clean
Cons: Check out could be earlier
Location: The location was ok
After waiting for about 10 minutes for their shuttle to pick me up from the station, an unknown van (no advertising)pulls up, looks at me then pulls off without even checking to see who I was. I called the front desk, the lady told me oh I'm sorry he took the Howard Johnson sign off the shuttle and he'll be back around in 2 minutes. I waited there for 40 minutes before he showed back up. He never greeted me, didn't apologize, and didn't say a word the entire time. The hotel was fine but some random maintenance guy did come into my room unannounced to check the sink faucets. No knock, no call, just let himself in which was a complete invasion of my privacy. I will never book with this hotel ever again. Unprofessional.
