Clean, spacious rooms with jacuzzi and great view

Posted Dec 2, 2016 on Hotels
This was my third visit to waterton village the place is stunningly beautiful.. To my surprise everything was closed from retail shops to hotels except one dining and takeaway place. I wish the hotel management informed us about it .. This time it felt like a deserted ghost town, but it's great getaway I will definitely visit again during the season. Our was the only hotel which was open most of the rooms were being cleaned / renovated. The staff was helpful and the room was nice too. Loved the loft suite with jacuzzi and great mountain views!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay. Each winter reservation received at Waterton Glacier Suites is responded to with a letter outlining the limited services available, and activity suggestions for the stay, I apologize if you did not receive the letter which is generally forwarded as an attachment to the emailed confirmation. I do hope we see you again in the future.

Quiet place to stay in winter

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Waterton is almost a ghost town in winter with the hotel offering a nice quiet stay. Comfortable rooms with its sister hotel across street providing excellent dining.

Friendly staff, clean rooms....we knew that their wasn't many things to do at night,so we brought some movies knowing their was a DVD player in the room....ice machine didn't work,we didn't have our room cleaned the three nights we stayed,we would leave 9am and wouldnt return to the room until 330pm and wasn't cleaned....but it was off season, and I would go back to this place

Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments. Guest feedback is very important to us. I am extremely sorry to hear of the housekeeping issues, we strive to provide exemplary housekeeping services at the Waterton Glacier Suites, and generally speaking only those rooms with a Do Not Disturb sign hanging on the door would be omitted from the cleaning schedule. Clearly we fell short in this case, and we will be taking this up internally with our team.

Nothing special

Posted Nov 12, 2016
Pros: Staff was very friendly and parking on site. There were some deer around to greet us.
Cons: Bit of a motel vibe. Booked a suite as it was the only thing available, but that was not more than an extra room with an uncomfortable couch. The jaccuzi was a small whirlpool bathtub. Thin walls, you can hear your neighbours talking, lousy bed, I'm sorry to say.
Location: In the middle of Waterton, not much to do in October (our own fault), probably a very good location in Summer.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, Jaap, your comments are very important to us. We are an all-suite property so the room you were checked in to was our standard room, which does come with a jetted tub in the bathroom, but only our Romantic Getaway Suites and Loft Suites offer in-room Jacuzzi. I am sorry the bed was uncomfortable for you, I realize that each of us have our own preferences for bed comfort, but all of the beds in the hotel are new. I am indeed sorry for your disappointment in our property, we work very hard to achieve the best possible guest experience, and clearly we fell short of that mark for you.

Little information

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Most amenities, restaurants, etc. are closed by November. Hotel staff did not have any reliable information about what was open and available or options outside of town. The hotel was fine - not fancy, but there doesn't seem to be much that is in Waterton.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, it is very important to us. Waterton is made up, for the most part, of small family-run businesses, and although most are closed during the winter months, some of them will open on a part time basis depending on demand. We endeavor to provide all guests with an overview of the winter status with their reservation confirmation, to ensure they are prepared for the off season realities in Waterton. I apologize if we neglected to include that overview with your reservation confirmation.

We had small issues in our room. But over all was very good stay in Waterton Lakes. What a peaceful place.

Ghost town

Posted Nov 2, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel has nothing other than rooms - not even any food outlets. We went in October and the whole surrounding area was completely dead. Ended up checking out early - as soon as we woke up the first morning.

We are sorry you were disappointed with your visit to Waterton Park. Most of our off-season travelers are drawn here because of the quiet, as the park can get extremely busy in the summer season. There are very limited options for dining or commerce, but there are options in the community, notwithstanding that our hotel itself has no restaurant. Waterton Park is a jewel in the Parks Canada system, and I do hope you return for a visit during the summer season when the commercial activity may be more in keeping with your preferences.
