Stayed in a loft suite - worked well for us, but I don't understand why the tub is not in the bathroom, rather than the living room. If you were on a romantic get-a-way, it might work, but for a group it was just weird.

The room was comfortable. There was no hotel foyer and access to the second floor was by outside metal staircase. Bit pricey.

Thank you for your comments. I'm happy to hear that you found our rooms comfortable. We are a very small property with only 26 rooms and all rooms have outside entries. We have a modest foyer, commensurate with the size of the hotel.

Our original reservation was for 2 nights in a King Suite, but when we arrived at the hotel, they informed us we were upgraded to a loft suite. We realized later they upgraded us because they didn't have our room ready & we arrived after the 4pm check in time. We declined the upgrade as it didn't have a king bed, which we requested. We had to wait for the king suite. They only had us for a one night reservation, but they corrected this. Our room was very warm, the breaker blew when the air conditioner was on high, we could only run it on low. Patio door had blackout drapes, but the blind on the window above was broken & couldn't be closed, leaving the room very light. Next time I would book different accommodations.

Great Visit

Pros: Location, Restaurant, friendly staff, our room.
Cons: Please get better pillows.
The hotel was lovely, clean and well kept, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking was extremely convenient, which is a big plus, and the hotel has a great location. Close enough to easily walk downtown or to the marina, but just far enough away that you don't get the noise from the traffic or crowds. The meal we had in the Italian restaurant was absolutely superb and the staff were just a delight. We would definitely stay there again. My only issue was the pillows. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was really nice, but the pillows were much too puffy and large to get a comfortable sleep, so on our next visit we'll just bring our own. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel staff very rigid about checking in before 4 pm; consequently, long line to check in right at 4:00. Air conditioner rattled with very loud compressor on and off all night, so no sleep. Went to check out and give feedback on air conditioner at 6:30 a.m. and lobby was locked with nobody around. I don’t know what anyone would do in an emergency or in need of help with the room.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, it is very important to us. We are a very small hotel (just 26 rooms in total) and do not have a 24 hour Front Desk. Overnight, when the office is closed dialing "0" from the phone in your room (or the phone in the box outside the lobby door) will connect you with the person on call, who is available to deal with any guest issues, emergency or not. Unfortunately when you arrived earlier in the afternoon, our housekeeping team were still preparing the rooms for occupancy. We can often accommodate an earlier check in, but when we are completely full the night before (as we were in this instance) it is often difficult to manage that courtesy. Our standards for cleanliness are extremely important to us, and we will not release our rooms for check-in until they have been inspected, on busier days it can be very close to our published check-in time (4:00 pm) before that gets completed. Our published Front Desk hours are 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, but I open the office every morning at 6:30 am nonetheless, including on the morning you departed. You may have left slightly before 6:30. I am truly sorry that your stay was disappointing for you.
