Noise & Horns

Posted Mar 7, 2018
It’s currently 1am horns from a party downstairs have just gone off from their cars (guess they weren’t drinking?!). Walls paper thin. Lots of laughter and no peace and quiet. No sleep lots of noise, no consideration. Need to get to airport early tomorrow. Terrible experience. All a bit grubby.

Very pleasant stay but room a bit faded.

Posted Sep 7, 2017 on Ebookers
Pros: The staff were very good. The breakfast was very good.
Cons: The bedroom could do with a makeover.
Location: We only stayed one night for a for a special event in the village.
The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The food was very good. However, the room had a rather faded look. The handbasin was cracked. The toilet seat would not stay up. (Ok for the ladies not so convenient for the gentlemen!)

Nice pub but with room for improvement

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Overall this is a nice pub. The menu is good with some unusual items, e.g. ox heart and quail. My room was in a separate building at the rear of the pub - it had all the facilities I needed including a bath, although there was no Wi-Fi in the room. There were some small patches of mould which could easily be dealt with. The most annoying aspect of this pub was that all the locals congregated around the bar despite the rest of the pub being empty - this made ordering difficult - the pub could discourage this by removing the bar stalls from the bar.

This was our second stay. It has gone downhill.

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Pros: The full English breakfast.
Cons: In the short term the rooms needs to be check for faults and these need repair, but in reality it needs a complete makeover.
Location: Not much.
The hotel is very tired. It needs a lot of work to bring it back to life.
