A real find and an absolute treat.
"Amazing hotel. We were wary having read some reviews (after we'd booked) especially regarding the friendliness of the staff and the language barrier. Our French is nowhere near good enough and we thought we'd struggle. We needn't have worried and should have paid more attention to the positive reviews. The hotel staff were incredibly polite and super friendly, they couldn't have done enough and even helped with our poor attempt at speaking their language.
As for the hotel, the room was lovely. Everything you'd hope for from an historic chateau. It was beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water every day. The pool was beautiful and very welcoming after our morning run. There were sun loungers around the pool and on a small patio area so you can enjoy the afternoon sun.
The hotel restaurant looked lovely but we didn't plan ahead so they were fully booked. We ate locally at Chez Ninie and can definitely recommend it. Other than that, you would need to go into St Omer for dinner, although you are spoiled for choice in the centre.
This is a superb hotel. We can't really fault it. We will definitely be returning. "
