Expected more from the Ramada!

Pros: Like I wrote earlier the staff was quite pleasant.
1) It took us over one hour to get to our room, because the desk clerk could not get access to the computer. 2) We had to switch rooms the next morning due to the smell and mold condition in the bathroom. 3) We had to eat breakfast out every morning,because the continental breakfast advertised as part of the amenities was no longer being offered, and it got to be a bit costly having to feed 2 adults and 2 children every morning. The hotel staff was very attentive, and cordial, but the overall experience was very disappointing.

Close to location we were visiting

Pros: Location and price
Cons: having an elevator
Location: attended a naval graduation, there are restaurants to eat
Liked the location but there was no elevator and very steep stairs. Room was clean and comfortable.

misleading on line pictures

Pros: nothing
Cons: security and ease of getting to your room without getting lost and advertise what is going on as there was no mention of construction,
the pictures on line looked fantastic including that a restaurant was in or close to the hotel. the so called restaurant was a bar and hotel personnel did not know any information about the so called restaurant. the security was very lax you could enter the back doors in the evening without a key card. we originally reserved for 5 nights but after the lack of security we left after the first night, the hotel was still under construction and trying to find the room was not easy we had to go down too many halls to find the room. then there was not directions as to how to get back to the lobby, so I was very unhappy after a long time traveling. The only bright star was the person at the front desk when we decided to check out was extremely helpful and even gave us a discount on the one night we stayed, so to him I give him a gold star

Nice hotel close to great America and local food

Took a long time to check in, construction in the hotel causes a smell to be stuffy and hard to breathe.

Great room, lots of space.

In the middle of remodifications inside and road construction made for some frustrations. But great prices and friendly staff.

Wouldn't go back to the hotel

Was not happy with the security/safety of this hotel. Was told to park in the back parking lot, which was closer to our room. There was a man hanging out there asking for money. The back door was supposed to be locked with a card reader access, but that was broken and anyone could enter.

Our hotel room did not have towels when we arrived. Luckily the room didn't smell as bad as the rest of the hotel. Will not be staying there again.

Extreme lack of standards

Pros: I cannot think of anything.
Cons: Housekeeping should be the first item on the long list of improvements they need to make.
The front desk staff did not make eye contact or speak to me in a friendly manner. When I entered the building to find the elevator I walked to the other end of the hallway to discover that there was no elevator. Along the hallway there were bags of garbage right outside hotel room doors which I'm sure contributed to the stench, one bag in particular was full of soiled diapers. I used the stairs to get to the second floor and the stairwell had an awful smell as well. When I located my hotel room the door next to mine had two bags of garbage that almost brought me to vomit. I entered my room which seemed nice up front but did not meet standard housekeeping guidelines. The sheets had hair on them and the one of the pillows smelled like body odor. There were toenail clippings and other dirt and crumbs on the carpet. The towels in the bathroom also had hair on them and a few in the shower. The hotel did not enforce their own rules on all guests fairly, which resulted in multiple disturbances throughout the night. People arguing in the hallway and outside, cars speeding through the parking lot. Smoking not allowed but the smell was prevalent. Upon checking out the staff person was not aware of any problems by the night staff, but said they would make note of the issues I expressed.

Nice hotel

The hotel is located near the mall, six flag and 13 minutes to the naval base. The staff was bring me a excellent service.
