Very nice deco but seems old, had musty smell.Posted Aug 2, 2015
Musty smell in the hotel building as well as inside the room. No fresh air. Air conditioning running in the room smelled damp and old. No air conditioning in the hallways (it was hot and humid out at the time) so it was thick and warm in the hallways, contributing to the musty smell. My white socks became dirty just from walking around the room, so obviously the carpet hasn't been cleaned in a while. Bathroom was fine. Mattress had a dent in it. They really need to do something abt the smell. Stairways were filthy. Just need an overall deep cleaning. Staff was nice and friendly though.

Good value!Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Location and facilities.
Cons: Room was damp. The air conditioning did not take the moisture out of the air very well.
Nice little hotel. Upscale look and feel with friendly and helpful staff.

A nice little pocket of paradise in WaupacaPosted Jun 23, 2015
The property is located on a cul-de-sac bordering a golf course and an Ale House. So peaceful and relaxing. The beds and pillows were so incredibly comfortable. The only thing I wish was different was having an earlier breakfast. We had to get back on the road before breakfast was available.

Clean and comfortablePosted Mar 28, 2015
Cons: The complimentary breakfast is the same old artificial eggs and sugary waffles. EVERY hotel needs to improve their breakfast.
Location: Hike the Ice Age Trail. Kayak the chain of lakes.
It was good. Room was clean. Room service from the adjacent restaurant was very good.

Small town kindness 3 minutes from Downtown.Posted Mar 10, 2015 on Hotels
I'm from the area so I know what to expect, and for the area the hotel is great. Its no 4 star modern upscale hotel that you'd find in a major metro area. Service was great, the kind of small town kindness you'd expect. Room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping actually paid attention to the Do Not Disturb sign, unlike at many other hotels I've stayed in major metro areas that sometimes ignore it. Comfort was okay, if you like the fluffy spring beds you sink into, you'll love this place. My back needs a firm surface but we only stayed 2 nights so it wasn't too bad. Neighborhood was great, its just on the outskirts of town so you're not walking distance to main street but its nice and quite and our room was overlooking a snow covered valley.

Nice but wrong roomPosted Feb 18, 2015 on Hotels
We had booked and confirmed a 2 queen suite. When we got our room it was a King with a pullout. Since it was 2 sets of Fathers with their adult sons this did not work well. Disappointed that the room was not what was reserved.
