Pros: Great location and very clean rooms.
Cons: Lights in rooms and have some meat on the breakfast bar.
Location: It was in Ennis Texas and we go there every year for the Polka festival and parade. We usually have a family reunion on my Dad side of the family.
The room was nice and very clean, but the light over the sink didn't work half the time. We had to keep turning it on and off before it stayed on. The radio clock didn't work and kept blinking and couldn't set the clock. I called the night before to get a wake up call on Saturday and Sunday mornings but never received the call.

Needs some updatingPosted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Water pressure was wonderful, heat and air unit worked great in our room and the bed was super comfy.
Cons: Furnishings need updating and they need to be more thorough when cleaning. Furnishings should all be alike in each room.
Location: Was really close to the interstate and had a really great restaurant within walking distance.
The rooms needs some updating. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and when we first entered the room the heavily perfumed smell was extremely overwhelming. This was a problem when we came back to the hotel on our second night as well. The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. There was hair in the shower and on the floor of the bathroom. And the toilet ran all night the first night.

Half way from Norman to Houston!Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: I liked the price and the free breakfast as well as it's location because it's an easy off and then back on the interstate.
Cons: Everything in room was worn around the edges but it was clean. If they renovate, the prices will have to go up so I hope they don't renovate soon.
Location: There's all kinds of gas stations, local retail shops and fast food along the highway which adds to the appeal.
Since our son went to Rice and now lives in Houston permanently, we've often chosen to break the trip in two rather than do the trip in one day. We've stayed at this Day's Inn several times in the past and we were happy with it so when we decided to go halfway again, I booked a room at the Ennis Day's Inn. The place was inexpensive but it's no longer a brand new hotel so it's looking a little worn around the edge. However, it's CLEAN, has a free breakfast and while it's right off the highway, it's in a relatively safe place so I don't feel like I'm going to get murdered in the night. I would stay there again but I want the readers to know it's a little shopworn.

You get what you pay forPosted Mar 9, 2015 on Hotels
you get what you pay for. on the plus side it was cheap, it was quiet, the hot water and shower worked, and the heater worker. On the negative...1 of the beds was horrible, the other fine. Could have been cleaned or upkept better. I wasn't expecting a 4 star experience, but I was still underwhelmed somewhat.
