Excellent hotel
Have stayed in this hotel several times, always friendly helpful staff. The secure parking although an extra cost is extremely useful. Hotel is adjacent to the metro which is great for getting to the centre but we have frequently walked as it is not really too far. The local market is only 5 minutes walk and well worth visiting. Also highly recommend the bakery Maes directly opposite Best Hotel.

Awful location, tiny rooms (shower so small that it was very hard to wash one’s feet!), some of staff not helpful / friendly, on-street parking very hard. But it was pretty cheap. Best avoid the breakfast too.

Affordable accomodation for a stay in Lille.
The hotel is convenient for most of Lille. Right outside is a city bike hire station and a Metro station is just to the left of the entrance. You find that a 20-40 minute walk will bring you to all you may wish to see or visit. It isn't located in the most salubrious part of Lille, though I didn't feel perturbed or threatend when returning quite late in the evening. All in all a good base for a stay in a vibrant city. Is a two star rated hotel so basic in general, but comfortable. The shower cubicles are on the small size but more than adequate. The extra you pay for the buffet breakfast is a good start to the day and has a varied selection of choices.

Basic Hotel modern rooms & freindly helpful staff
This is the second time I have stayed at the Best Hotel. It is a basic Hotel but nice and clean with modern rooms and freindly helpful staff. The area isn't that great but the metro is just outside the door so not a problem if you get back to the Hotel later in the evening. I have had a good experience on both occations at this Hotel. There is a nice Market just across the road on a Sunday.

Simple, clean, friendly, convenient.
Nice, clean, small room, basic accommodations. Tidy, next to Metro steps away, good supermarket across street. No bar soap, shampoo or conditioner. No Kleenex. Plastic glasses crack/break when you remove plastic covering. No fridge, no safe, no ice bucket. No electrical outlet in otherwise nice bathroom. You have to ask for a hair dryer at front desk. I bought a plastic bowl and sturdy inexpensive glass at supermarket, as I was there for several days. Staff was great about getting me ice from the kitchen for my bowl, as there is no ice machine for guests. The hotel was fine basic accommodations if you get it at a good price. Just bring stuff you might otherwise expect to find in other spots.

Ok here is my review: Staff: 5 Room: 3 Breakfast: 3 Sleeping:1- It has been a while since I had such bad night- Firsly hunted by mosquitoes (they need to do something about it) and the noise made by workers on the underground station, which was under my window. It lasted up to 4am!! Workers shouting and it seemed the windows are not double glazed. Would I recommend it? Yes for the price and location ( very lively area- nice restaurant and bars near the hotel) but this is not a hotel for someone in need of peace and quiet.

Agressive manager banging on door twice demanding checkout 5 minutes before the 11am checkout time. Room wasnt cleaned after first night either. Everything else about the hotel was fine. Neighbourhood not great.

The information about this hotel was misleading.
We booked this hotel based on the information on Expedia-- details of location, reviews, etc. As it turned out, the hotel is located not 5 minutes from the train but 20 min. in a rather seedy part of town, not close to the city center, as stated The room was tiny-- no room for suitcases or maneuvering around the beds. Not a good choice if you want to see the city or for close proximity to the train. The staff, however, was quite helpful.

The Best Hotel Lille is very conveniently situated, having a Metro station (Gambetta), quite literally, on its doorstep. There are shops and a market really close by too. The hotel is rather basic & the rooms quite small but it was adequate for our purposes - i.e. a base to sight-see the city and visit the Xmas market. If travelling by car it is essential that you book a space in the hotel's u/g car park at approx € per night as street parking is extremely limited. We did not try the hotel breakfast preferring to 'hit the town' early and there were plenty of places offering reasonably priced breakfast fare every where we went.

The Best hotel-Lille
This place was ideally situated for a visit to my daughter who lives in the student quarter. Whenever you come out of the place you are bombarded by beggars though.This area is very impoverished and I found it difficult to avoid coughing up every time I emerged from the hotel. The parking arrangements are good and the proximity of the underground station was also handy. The best hotel is only the name of the place!

Je recommande cet hôtel
J'ai séjourné dans cet hôtel plusieurs fois et j'en suis toujours satisfaite. Un petit bémol simplement, la housse de lit était tâchée. Le personnel de l'accueil est accueillant et sympathique. Quant au buffet du petit-déjeuner, il est complet. J'aime se rendre à Lille, je réserverai à nouveau dans cet hôtel.

Hotel is okay, and entrance of metro is nearby. Car can be parked in a underground parking place of the hotel. Distance to the old centre of the city is not too big and also easy accessable by underground.

Le quartier n’est pas le plus sympa de Lille… mais l’hôtel est très bien entretenu et présente des prestations classiques et de qualité. Petite chambre double. Lit confortable (sans plus). Télé ok. Coin bureau. Salle d’eau petite mais ok. Produits sanitaires bas de gamme. Petit déjeuner très bien (plutôt au dessus du reste des prestations). Accessible 24/7 grâce à une borne à l’entrée. Pas trop de bruit. Finalement un bon rapport qualité prix.

Ligt op wandelafstand van het historische centrum
Op het eerste gezicht lijkt de buurt waarin het hotel gelegen is niet de beste, maar het valt allemaal heel goed mee. Het grote voordeel: er is een veilige, ondergrondse parking en het historische centrum bevindt zich op 20 minuten wandelen. Het personeel is vriendelijk, het ontbijt basic maar goed en de kamer netjes en met alle comfort.

Séjour presque parfait, dommage qu’on vous répondent avec des ouais au téléphone, que le serveur ne sache pas le poisson du jour au restaurant, et que l’appareil pour les œufs à la coque ne soit pas allumé d’avance. Je sais, je chipote mais c’est pour que l’établissement soit juste parfait…
