Hidden Gem in the Middle of the City of Wellington

Posted May 19, 2017
Pros: Excellent large rooms that are well furnished.
Cons: Perhaps rent some suitable parking spaces for guests at nearby Parking garage and use the front entrance for drop off and pick up.
Location: Exclusive city center location. Walk right out to the main shopping areas with lots of nearby restaurants and free museums.
The hotel was difficult to find and actual entrance confusing. It was situated somewhat on a hill with narrow roads. Not a good location if you have a car. Luckily, the hotel does provide instructions in fine prints how to find it if you have a car. Parking is narrow and you need to be very skillful navigating the parking spaces. Once in the hotel, the room is surprising large, well furnished and very comfortable. Quite pleasant to actually be spending family time indoors. Very convenient to shopping in the city and to restaurants and museums. The best bet is to dump your car if you are a tourist and just walk around the city.

Tired overpriced hotel in a good location

Posted May 11, 2017
Small room, very small. Tired facilities, shower paint coming off, old dusty heaters, stained carpets. Noicy at night, can hear the pipes rumbling every time someone else uses the water. Fringe was loud also. Sink had hair on it, the bed was comfy but the sheets not tucked in properly. Good location with limited free parking. Can't believe the heritage group would put their name to this.

Great stay and recommend

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Room sizes, Location, Friendly staff.
Cons: Not much. Maybe a swimming pool.
Location: Very central and easy walk to everything central. Te Papa 10 minutes away, Playground close, easy walk to Willis, Cuba street etc. Countdown nearby.
Had a great stay with friendly helpful staff and great rooms for my wife and I and our 2 kids. Very central and easy to get around town. Recommend to all.

Great hotel, great central location

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Location, room quality
3 adults stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. Very nicely furnished with a well equipped kitchen, in the middle of the CBD so great for touring and local cafes. The staff were very helpful and professional. Great value!

Pros: The rooms were well thought out and spacious with ensuite in main bed room. Very good for families.
Cons: The rooms are starting to look a bit tired with wear and tear. Could do with a paint touch up and the bottom of the bathroom door was water damaged.
Good central location with well thought out and spacious rooms that included all the amenities a family would need.

Pros: Location. Size of the rooms. Comfortable beds.
Cons: They've got limited car parking. They don't have a system to track how many parking vouchers they've allocated vs how car parking space they've got.
Location: CBD. Cable cars.
Very good location. Comfortable & large rooms. The main negative I've got against this hotel is that on check-in I requested parking for 2 days and got a parking voucher for those days. On the second night, they oversold the parking and when I went to park my car there was no space. The receptionist said unfortunately many guest wanted to park that night and she was going to remove the charge for the 2nd night of parking. Upon checkout, the hotel still tried to charge for both days of parking and I had to prove that I parked elsewhere. What I don't understand is that the hotel has to give you parking vouchers; why can't they keep track of how many parking vouchers they've given out.

A nice hotel with great location

Posted Apr 25, 2017
The hotel is in great location right in downtown where you can walk for shopping. The facilities are good. The only problem is to find parking spot unless you park in a pay carpark nearby.
