Overall and average for the price. Was put right next door to the elevator which didn't help as we kept hearing loud people talking and laughing entering and exiting the lift throughout the night. The coffee canister for the water was dirty as residue and water grim was still present from the last use. The shower door seal needs replacement as the water was going out the door because the door can't shut close while showering. Check in and check out staff were both lovely.

We didn’t have hot water and because we had an internal facing room the view was bleak, at best. Given the price we paid it was very poor value for money.

Air con was under maintenance (not working) in our room upon arrival so staff moved and upgraded us when it was clear it wasn’t going to be repaired for the night. Rooms were clean and hotel was in a good area. Very walkable to the wharf and major sights. Staff were attentive.

Excellent staff at all levels. A very pleasing buffet breakfast and evening meal options there were also great. A typical Ibis no frills room but then good value for Wellington. Would stay here if again visiting.

This is a great place to stay overnight. The door to my room let in light from the corridor, the curtains didn’t black to room out but otherwise for an overnight stay it works. Centrally situated and within walking distance to anywhere in the CBD you can’t go wrong. Reasonable room rate, but breakfast is a step too far at $50.00. For that I would want a full waiting service.

Average property. Probably wouldn't stay there again. Carpet was ripped and frayed in our room - needs a good update. No safe in the room. They have wooden card keys which I'm sure are for looks and maybe environmentally friendly. When we got to our room, we weren't able to get our lights to work by putting the card key in the slot. Upon returning to the front desk, the gal said 'oh yea, sometimes those wood card keys don't work in the slot' and she gave me a regular plastic card key. Why not do that right away so a tired traveler doesn't haven't to go down 7 floors to get an answer to a problem.

The room was clean. What let me down was the reception desk didnt advise us of breakfast times or the way to go about getting breakfast, although we paid an extra $50 for it. Housekeeping was unable to clean our room even though we left from 12.30 till 4pm the same day. So the next morning we had to dry our with damp towels. Reception didnt advise us the restaurant opening times nor where they any information in the rooms about this. At check out. Reception didnt say anything to me about the $100 deposit i made for sundries, nor have they been in contact with me regarding this. So basically in my opinion reception and house keeping has let the place down, and i dont think ill be staying there again. Kind regards, Phillip Wilkinson

Wonderful customer service by Ibis staff we arrived at the hotel straight from the airport before 9am and requested an early check in which was successful without any issues. Best sleep with comfy pillows and bed, only downside hot water finishes quickly.

The property was lovely, however the she-bins in the bathroom did not have privacy(lid) it was not convenient for me as a lady on that time of the month. I had to worry too much about where to dispose off my staff.

My only complaint was that I booked 3 rooms which appeared to be the same or similar outlook to surrounding city area according to the pictures. However, my wfe and I ended up in room 328 with the only outlook being the small internal area of the complex. It felt a little claustophobic. I noticed also that house staff cannot speak English and a lot of trainees are engaged. That cannot be helped I guess and good on you for training young people. Other than that, the place was fine and well located and easy walk to everything in CBD circle. .

My stay at iBis Wellington was excellent. The room was roomy and comfortable. The hotel is located in the heart of the city with ample shops and attractions close by. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.
