Excellent location, strong Hotel tradition

Pros: Extra big rooms and walk out decks, felt like a condo. spacious lobby and very easy parking. Great court yard. Liked the tucked way quiet fridge.
Cons: Better secure locking on the patio doors.
Location: walking distance to shops and restaurants, but not right downtown
Was not aware of the major hotel upgrading, no extra noise occurred, loved the solid core doors and extra large rooms, I will be back.

Pros: It appears that a significant amount of upgrades are being implemented but mostly cosmetic.
If you can't use this without this paragraph....so be it!

Adequate hotel

This hotel just doesn't care about the details. There is no hotel information in the rooms, so if you want to know about facilities, amenities, etc...you have to guess or just go searching. Appliances aren't plunged in, things aren't pushed against the wall, etc...

Convenient in town

Location: Very convenient in town
Enjoyed our stay. My wife is disabled and uses a walker. The room on the 1st floor and close to parking was very nice. No stairs for her. Everything worked well and was convenient.

Pros: Location and price
Cons: Up- keep, cleanliness
Location: Shop, eat out, and close to major medical clinics
I stayed there for the price, I had to travel so far to see Dr.'s for my upcoming surgery. The place was very dirty, a tore up chair at the desk, ripped carpet, broken sliding glass door handle, broken tile and mildew in bathroom, and outside on the patio, when I could get the door open, cigarette butts all over, garbage and even an old pair of socks laying there. Even walking the hall way, floor looked like it had not been vacuumed in months, still even had pine needles and glitter from X-mas decorations all over floor leading to lobby. Also, my room only had one small garbage can for the whole place.

Not what I thought it would be

Pros: Room availability and lots of parking.
Cons: New carpets in the rooms, and new furniture.
Location: I was visiting my Dad in the hospital, didn't look around much.
The Red Lion has been around for a long time, and it is showing it's age. It was comfortable enough, but there was a large stain on the carpet in my room, hidden under the old, rather dirty looking chair. The mismatched lamps, and other furniture that looked like it came from Goodwill, only add to the need for a serious up-date for this old building. On the up-side, I did have a delicious Fish taco dinner in the Lounge, and the bartender made me a wonderful Watermelon crawl! It was nice to be able to get some very good food, without leaving the hotel. Great for folks who are coming from far away and don't know the area.

Very outdated

Super old tvs with terrible cable reception. Had no amenities. Staff was rude.

Nice Hotel

The staff were great! Very friendly and helpful. I had an issue at first because keys were not working properly, and the locks on the doors were old! Need to be changed. The room was clean and well organized.
