“This property did not disappoint! No detail was spared in making this the perfect spot for comfort and relaxation. And the views! The property was designed and situated to take advantage of panoramic scenery. Our fisherman were especially appreciative of the private boat ramp and dock. There were 3 couples and we all commented that you couldn’t go wrong with any of the 3 bedrooms….all 3 were comfortable and had their own baths. We will definitely stay again if back in the area. Awesome trip!”

The home both indoor and outdoor was set up with many places to hang out, float in lake, go boating, play corn hole or play pool or just lounge on porch swings or at fire pit - we had a great time - Thank you, Solitude!”

“The property was clean and comfortable, situated at a marina. Husband liked it for the convenience, he didn’t have to find a boat dock nearby.”

“Exactly what we hoped for. Wish we would have had more time than 2 nights. Did some fishing off the dock, enjoyed the peacefulness of the yard and the lake. Driveway is very steep but we knew this ahead of time so no issues.”

“We had a great time with 3 kids, age 8-12. They were able to kayak and fish in the cove safely. Internet/tv was very limited/spotty at times. You will need to drive 20-30 minutes for most groceries/restaurants.”

“The home and property are beautiful. The sounds of the river and creek are so peaceful. There is a railway nearby and we enjoyed the sounds of the trains as well. We spent the majority of our time on the covered porch. The thing I enjoyed most was the fireflies. I haven’t seen any in years so it was a special treat.”

“What a lovely place! We were in the area to relax, fish, and take in a NASCAR race and this beautifully decorated, modern cottage was perfect. Everything you might need for a relaxing stay is provided. The location is rather remote, so plan ahead. It is well worth the drive and the directions are clear and accurate. We'll be back!!”

“The house setup is great. We enjoyed sitting on the covered decks with a great view overlook the Waxahatchie. The flat top grill was a big hit. The house was well stocked and very comfortable. Great location .”

“House was beautiful. High quality all the way; mattresses, kitchen appliances, furniture. Nice playroom with toys. Game room was wonderful. Only drawback was access to water; lots of steps. Hard (or impossible) for older people and small children to get down to dock.”

“This house was an amazing jewel to stay at! Fantastic location off the lake and close to Alabaster with an easy commute. Our group loved sitting by the fire each night and the amount of seating is perfect for a large group. We had a maintenance issue during our stay and the housekeeper came out immediately to assist. Great communication from owner.”
