Disappointed

Pros: Staff and breakfast. Location
Cons: Bed
We stopped in Charleston on our way south. Reviews were better so we expected the place to be better than it was. Disinfectant smell appeared to mask "something". Breakfast was better than expected. Hotel staff very courteous and helpful. Bed was NOT comfortable.

staff was nice - but quality of room was bad.

Pros: Staff was friendly. Breakfast/coffee was good. Price is low.
Cons: Cleaning in the room - shower and toilet were clean - but something caused the air to smell awful. Maybe clean/change the carpet and air filters AC?
Location: Next door to best restaurant in SC - Bessinger's BBQ
The bad smell in the room was overwhelming. The air coming from the A/C unit was blowing around something between "sour carpet" and "feet". The room appeared clean - bathroom and shower were good. However, one of the beds had an old vomit stain running down the side of the mattress and baseboard. The staff was friendly and the coffee was good. Staff promised to look into the issues reported - but I will not be coming back.

It was very loud. The coffee was cold.

You could hear every voice and bump in the hallway and surrounding rooms. The room was hardly insulated at all. My voice grabbed a tea to make in the lobby and grabbed me a coffee around 4:00 and both were cold.

Our room was right across from the elevator and I was concerned it would be noisy, but we did not notice any noise at all.

We had a wonderful time in Charleston, and enjoyed our stay @ Sleep Inn Charleston very much! Great to start each day with good cup of coffee and breakfast complements of hotel.

Bed and room not clean

The sheets were dirty the floor had nail clippings. There wasn't a problem about getting more sheets. The next day they didn't clean the room.
