Nice hotel close to highway and restaurants

Posted Jan 22, 2018
I found the staff, Jessica, to be very accommodating for providing a convenient room for my elderly mother. The hotel also offered the best value for the price. I will certainly choose RRI for my next visit to Columbus.

Excellent Value and Pet Friendly

Posted Jan 12, 2018
Pros: Pet friendly, laminate instead of carpet, location, fridge and microwave in the room
Cons: Cleaner floors. Change pet policy from number of dogs allowed (1) to a weight limit.
Location: Decent shopping, expressway nearby
Red Roof Inns are generally a good value. They are pet friendly. They aren't fancy but for a comfortable, quiet place to sleep and do some work, it's a great choice. This particular Inn has a one dog per room limit. Understandable, but it would make more sense to have a weight limit. Two chihuahuas aren't nearly as imposing as one large dog. Also, lots of people DON'T clean up their dog's poop. Guys, you are ruining it for all of us. The management can't police poop pickup. I like that RRI has gone to laminate flooring instead of carpet. They need to keep them cleaner - my socks were filthy from walking on the floor. I will definitely stay here again.

Conveniently located

Everything was very nice except the bed was way to firm for us. We’re used to a much softer bed.

1 night stop over

Posted Oct 23, 2017 on Hotels
This was a one night stay as my son was at a competition at OSU. The room was clean and newly remodeled. The hotel is in a good location, lots of food nearby. As it is an outside entry, it was a little noisy, but not bad at all. It suited our needs as we were looking for an inexpensive, clean place to sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful. If we were staying longer then we would have looked for a pool, as they don't have one. It met our needs, we would stay there again.

Stay no more

Posted Oct 16, 2017 on Hotels
This is the first time we had such a dismal experience at this hotel. They have raised their rates over the last 6 months and yes are comparable to others in vicinity but they have no add ons that match. Office staff short, no breakfast supplied only coffee, and the sheets had stains on them. The noise level on the end units in the front of the building was unbelievable. Will be staying the the nearby Best Western from now on. Same rates but better service , and beautiful redone facility. Sorry Red Roof.
