OK hotel but not well insulated.

Posted Dec 11, 2017
Pros: The location was fine for our event. Breakfast was good. Interesting that the Brew restaurant was attached.
Cons: The odor in the hotel is strong - maybe chemicals used in the cleaning product? Also probably a need for better insulation between rooms and hallway.
Location: We went to the Brew restaurant attached to the hotel. Also to Tim Hortons for a quick lunch and Canadian Tire for gas.
We were there for 3 nights because of the Curling Olympic trials. The continental breakfast was good and personnel was always there filling the counter. The only thing we found disturbing was the noise level in the hallway as we could hear personnel as well as guests talking. A few times we were in bed when guests arrived and the noise would wake us. There is also a strong chemical-like odor in the hotel that is not pleasant.

This hotel needs a cosmetic makeover but the staff are excellent, the beds comfortable and breakfast great.

Convenient location, but not a good sleep

Posted Dec 9, 2017
The rooms were clean and the staff were nice, but the door to the room was very heavy, which I thought would be good for sound, but the ice machine across the hall might as well been in my room for how loud it was. The fitness room was OK since all I wanted was a treadmill. The breakfast was OK, but much more limited compared to other similar hotels I've stayed at recently.

Best place to stay.

Posted Dec 1, 2017
We stayed for 3 nights and were very pleased with everything. The bathroom floor was a little leaky but we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and spacious. Convenient location and hotel staff were very nice. The breakfast was less appealing for picky eaters but manageable. We loved it.

Too expensive for a moderate hotel.

Not worth the money, put in the extra 20 or 30 bucks and stay someplace nice with a edible breakfast. Staff was friendly.

Continental breakfast

Posted Nov 20, 2017
Pros: Lots of parking facilities and Tim Horton's next door.
Cons: Toilet paper roll very far to reach.
Just wish there was more than one waffle maker in the breakfast room.

Nice hotel EXCEPT

Posted Nov 20, 2017
Do NOT get a room close to the elevators. People congregate and chat and make noise all night and it sounds like they are standing at the end of your bed. The sound resistance is TERRIBLE which is a shame because the room was very nice and the front desk evening staff were great. Our toilet leaked and I told the front desk. I managed to fix it myself but there was someone there within 10minutes. I was impressed .... just did I mention DO NOT GET A ROOM NEAR THE ELEVATOR/ ICE MACHINE / VENDING MACHINE. Got 3 hours sleep
