Nice clean hotel next to Downtown attractions

Posted Nov 28, 2017
Pros: The breakfast was very good with polite and attentive staff that actually engaged us as guests and waited on our every need
We were in town for a short while on a longer Thanksgiving trip. We picked the Hampton due to closeness to Downtown. It was very clean and the staff was very welcoming even on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Everything was just as we expected and the stay was very pleasant.

Nice, but far from downtown

Posted Nov 26, 2017
Pros: Great staff, 24/7 coffee, clean room, quiet.
Cons: Would stay here again if they had a shuttle.
Location: Near Centennial Park! It a beautiful park to walk in and relax. Excellent art museum, the parathion. KRISPY KREME!!!
The staff was efficient and friendly. We got there early and hoped for an early check in. They were very understanding that we were exhausted from travel and allowed us to get into our room within 15 minutes of our arrival. The breakfast was the usual free breakfast, but with a wide variety of selections, one can find an item to their satisfaction. Our room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The only downside to staying here was the distance from downtown with no shuttle. It's about 2 miles. We walked on warm days since parking downtown is an expensive hassle. The workout room is small but adequate. We would go early to avoid the crowds at 8:00. Lots of restaurants and a Krispy Kreme nearby. Overall, quite a nice experience.

Comfortable, great staff!

My stay at the Hampton Inn Vanderbilt made my visit to Nashville a very pleasant experience. It’s located 5 min from downtown in a quiet neighborhood, though with nice restaurants, stores, and anything you could need. The hotel itselt is not luxurious but really comfortable. It has a little gym and the room was nice and pleasant. Breakfast was complimentary, which was really convenient. By far the best of this hotel is the staff. They were kind, helpful and offered a wonderful service!

Wonderful stay, very attentive staff

Posted Nov 22, 2017
Pros: Location and cleanliness, free parking.
Location: Vanderbilt University is right next door, 2 miles from downtown, great location.
We arrived for a college tour at Vanderbilt and we had four families traveling. The staff was gracious enough to place all of us near each other even when we had not requested in advance. The hotel room was clean, comfortable and prices just right. Free breakfast was delightful. Best thing about this hotel was its location and proximity to where we needed to go - walking distance to Vanderbilt and only about 2 miles from downtown. We Uber-ed for under $7. Highly recommend. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Unclean and rundown

Furniture in lobby and chairs in our room wearing out. Carpet in hallways very dirty. Exercise room small and crowded. Room painted dark brown and dingy gold.

Hampton Inn Elliston Place

Posted Sep 17, 2017
The hotel rooms are clean but in need of some modernisation but the rest of the hotel is of a higher standard.Staff are friendly and the cold breakfast options were good (I did not try the hot options). The rooms could benefit from having a safe as the safety deposit boxes at reception seemed a bit flimsy. This hotel is very close to Centennial Park but is at least a half hour walk away from downtown Nashville. The pool area is nice for some relaxation.
