Room was not ready at check in - preordered champagne amenities were delivered warm - unfriendly staff - poor restaurant service - room was a bit tired looking - the food did taste and present well. Will not return to this hotel.

There were two things I didn’t like about this hotel. 1) The water temperature was very difficult to regulate. It was either freezing cold or piping hot. Nothing in between, which made taking showers harder. 2) they nickel and dime you with so many random fees, like a facilities fee for each day you’re there, and room service fees. Our coffee, croissant, and oatmeal turned out to be $50 because of the fees. Overall, the experience wasn’t the worst but I wouldn’t go back to this hotel again

Designer hotel with hidden charges

Posted Apr 14, 2018
So far the downsides: Only one person on the check in desk when we arrived at 4pm Parking sur charger of $44 per day Good luck getting a sun lounger at the pool. Very limited space and a lot of designer bodies lying around The pool looks awesome but it’s not heated. Nobody was getting in. It felt like Titanic water Plus points Clean and sleek and very close to West Hollywood and good night life Very modern with unique rooms features Beds comfortable

glitzy hotel in an ugly bend of sunset bld

Posted Apr 6, 2018
A good place for partying young people, lots of glitz, little service. Dont recommend for business travelors or families. Broken coffee machine in room was neither replaced nor fixed for a day and a half, despite promises. This sends a coffee junkie with jet lag into a rage. Coffee ordered from room service took 30 minutes to arrive, and the hotel does not serve breakfast until 7am because who gets up? The gym is small but nice. The beds are very comfortable and the "suite" is vast, for a very good price. All additional prices are very high. An impersonal kind of place , in an elbow of sunset boulevard without anything going on outside of traffic roaring by. i will not stay there again.

Don’t pick - better options

Posted Apr 4, 2018
Staff are not engaging - carpets are dirty - sofa in room has stains- very overrated - sky bar closed - pseudo lobby bar was a joke - dog yelping down the hall as hotel allows pets- major construction going on next door nothing good to say about this property. I would not book here and totally regret I did. Met up with friends here who were shocked with the decline in service, cleanliness and attention to detail. Perhaps it’s u see new management?

Lack of communication.

Posted Apr 3, 2018
We went to enjoy the LA sun and lie by the hotel pool... once we arrived to the pool we realized that it had been enclosed for the winter season which was never communicated to us by the hotel or Expedia prior to arrival. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

Decent Attempt At Modern Elegance

Posted Apr 2, 2018
Pros: Staff
Cons: Add an opaque curtain to cover the bathroom window.
Location: It's Los Angeles, every thing is every where. Location is not an issue.
Front desk staff were excellent, likable people. They spoke in normal, not affected, tones, unlike other "upscale" hotel staff. Every other staff member from housekeeping to valet to wait staff were all excellent as far as efficient and friendly. Very nice folks that deserved and received top level tipping. I never felt compelled to tip, they never appeared to expect one, so they got the best of what I could give. The room was spacious, the view was great. I am a fan of down pillows and the ones provided suited me fine. Linens were a bit haggard. The feather down comforters, though good sized, were a bit thread worn and need updating. Bed was comfortable and the large sofa easily accommodated my 6. 3" self. On the negative side of things our coffee maker did not work and the replacement, quickly provided, was also a bit finnicy. The desk phone also did not work. Valet parking was very expensive. The worst hotel room feature was by far the bathroom. The hotels attempt at modernism failed miserably in the bathroom design. The bathroom has a glass wall covered by a sheer curtain. The design surely looked good on paper, but failed the test of practicality. When you are actually using the toilet you are clearly visible from almost any where in the room by whomever else is in the room. Romantic couples may fine no problem here, but for those of us with kids, or traveling on business with an office mate, a buddy, or a new significant other, this layout sucks.

Area isn’t bad your able to walk to restaurants

Posted Apr 2, 2018
I wasn’t happy with the room furniture, stains on the sofa. Seemed all old furniture. For the price you would expect better. The host by the restaurant wasn’t respectful as if she didn’t understand English.
