Well worth the trip! It is worth noting that this location is remote and I can't imagine it'd be an easy drive to access this spot during Iceland's winter season, but it's definitely worth the lengthy drive from Reykjavik during the summer. When we arrived we were greeted by an extremely friendly staff person who gave us our keys and showed us our room, which had been upgraded and had a very comfortable feel. The room was clean, the water was warm, and the shower pressure was great. This hotel is located in a quaint fishing village, Sudureyri, which has a very unique feel. Apparently this year in Iceland the winter has lasted a little longer than usual, and after encountering some snow on a mountainous road called Steingrimsfjardarheidi during the drive in, the person working at the desk was extremely helpful and showed us a website to check road condition reports (http://vegagerdin.is) for the drive back. Loved this spot, two thumbs up!
