Best hotel

Very nice hotel, the staff are wonderful, The beds are comfortable. We stayed with our little dog 🐶.

The room was okay for the price. Passing by a room, you could easily hear conversations. I would stay again, but it will not be a first choice.

Great staff

Pros: Breakfast eating area and food
Cons: Air from room HVAC was directed right at the bed, with no way to control the direction. I placed the deck chair in front of it & it did the trick.
Location: We were just driving through
Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was larger than most, very comfortable with great staff and better than usual breakfast.

Noisy

Pros: Nice breakfast, good TV.
Cons: Update carpet and put a good quality mattress on the bed.
Location: Excellent location with good restaurant choices nearby.
Doors slamming, kids running in the hallway, dog barking, thin walls and a bed that was lumpy. Room looked old.

For $120 a night, the tub shouldn't be grimy

Pros: Nice décor, large, centrally located
Cons: THE CLEANING STAFF MUST ACTUALLY SCOUR THE SHOWER/TUB COMBO. There should NEVER be previous guests dirty footprints visible on the bottom.
Location: Lots of stuff around there - shops and restaurants. I can't be more specific. It was dark and we'd been 12 hours on the road.
We've been moving from Texas to NC in a Uhaul the past 3 days. Yesterday we had to fight traffic from eclipse watchers on the 75/40 and it was truly painful. We wanted to stop somewhere decent but are trying to be frugal. Found Baymont and thought ok, after this day we'll splurge at $104/night, tax and fees total $121. It's a nice place, no doubt. Very busy, probably eclipse tourists. Anyway, we were able to get a ground floor pet room because our cat is of course traveling with us. Add a $23 pet fee. Now we're at $144. Sigh. Didn't care. Tired, hungry and aggravated. Nice room, nice amenities. Mostly very clean. But when I got in the shower (pressure was "meh"... probably lots of showers going by this point) but the tub floor was grimy with previous guests dirty footprints! No one had scoured the tub for who knows how long. Guess they spray and wipe and call it done. It was gross. For that kind of money?! Tub should've been pristine. Then found a long black hair stuck in the bath sink that wouldn't rinse down. Had to physically remove it. Again, gross and pretty unacceptable. Regardless, bed was a king, firm, decent to lay in after hours in a Uhaul for sure. We were grateful to be there and glad we had the money. Still, I was disappointed by the bathroom cleanliness but would recommend this hotel. It was amazingly quiet in the night. In fact, we hardly heard anything, not even neighbors on either side, so that's a huge bonus in a rather large hotel. It balanced out the grimy

Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area. It's easy to get to.
Very clean. Breakfast is well done. Staff is very nice and helpful. Will definitely be staying again. Pool is terrific.
