Convenient especially for Vol's Home Games

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: Convenient to Knoxville, TN
Cons: Realistic Pricing. Price Gouging due to Vol's Home Opener and evasions from the Hurricane does not justify $175 + per night.
Location: Shopping, close to Downtown Knoxville, TN, Sports events
Everything price except the was great. Front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast hit the spot and had fixin's for dieters too.

The hotel was very homey, clean and safe. They also had a nice little dog park at the back which was a nice touch!

Not what we expected.

Posted Aug 1, 2017
Pros: The check-in process and check-out process were smooth
Cons: Maintaining the facilities - fitness center, A/C's, Pools.
Location: The Gentle Barn Campbell Park Downtown Knoxville
In general this hotel was not what we anticipated with past experiences at Country Inns. It is located yards from the highway on ramp and is somewhat difficult to get into and out of. The pool and hot tub look like they have seen better days, and the hot tub jets shoot straight up which is relatively useless. The fitness center is clearly not maintained. Of the two treadmills only one is functional and the one that is gave me several electric jolts as I tried to adjust the speed. And heaven forbid you want to run on it because the belt started slipping at 4.2 mph. I gave up at the 30 minute mark and switched to the elliptical, which was all over the place. It is not level so it shakes from side to side pretty significantly. I didn't even bother with the gym on day two after my experience on day one. The hot breakfast was ok. Not a lot to choose from but in general was fine. The A/C in the room did not seem like it was doing a whole lot. It kept the humidity down but did not cool very well. One good thing was that after they took one of our personal towels during cleaning, they did manage to find and return it to us. I appreciated that it wasn't lost for good. The bed was comfortable. The room seemed clean. It's an OK hotel, but I'll stay somewhere else next time I'm in Knoxville.

Not what we expected from Country Inns and Suites

Posted Jul 15, 2017
Pros: The location was good and close to restaurants.
Cons: There hotel attention to detail, repairing broken items and cleaning the rooms thoroughly.
We have stayed in several Country Inns and Suites but this one was definitely a disappointment. The bathroom floor was definitely not clean, the toilet seat was broken, and the carpet was not clean around the edges of the room. The hotel looked neglected in general. The outside door nearest our room broke the last morning and we were not able yo get in the building. We mentioned it to the desk clerk but he did not seem very concerned. Several light fixtures, etc, around the building were broken or falling apart.
