Great hotel, next to Rugby stadiumPosted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Room size, appointments and comfort. Location close to Twickenham town, Richmond, Hampton Court and all the fabulous public parks in the area
Cons: Parking at the Stoop can be a bit of a pain in bad weather
Location: Just a great location with lots to do in the area and plenty of places to eat and drink. Only 25 minutes by fast train to Waterloo
Stayed for 3 days, could not fault it although we did not eat at the hotel as had other commitments. Room was fabulous and very comfortable and quiet. Staff were great. The only minor downside was that we had to park at the Stoop which is a bit of a walk in wet weather

No Wifi at this price?Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Comfortable Beds.
How can it be that every youth hostel in Thailand offers free wifi but a 4 star hotel in England does not? I think that even the effort of having to contact personnel in order to access wifi would be too much hassle - but pay 10 GBP per day? And we were really surprised that housekeeping entered our room - without knocking - at 8 and 9 am - when we were still sleeping.

Nice hotel but could be better.Posted Jul 6, 2015
Good class of hotel owned by the RFU and run by Marriott with friendly and helpful staff. Modern furnishings and high standard of cleanliness. Situated actually on Twickenham Rugby Ground - bus stops right outside but a 5 to 8 minute walk from the railway station. No car parking on site - a 10 minute drop-off zone outside, often full - and another 8 to 10 minute walk to the designated car park. No valet parking offered. Wi-Fi free in public areas but £10.00 per day in the room - bizarre. Breakfast buffet was a little unimaginative (e.g. no omelette station or marmalade... and the waitress seemed unaware of what the latter might be) but good quality and attentive staff. Overall a pleasant hotel - somewhat expensive but comfortable. A little remote perhaps.

Great location in TwickenhamPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The rooms were a decent size, and the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: For the extortionate price asked for breakfast, I would have expected a better service, and certainly a much larger choice of foods.
A great welcome and painless reception at check in. The room was very clean and well turned out with no obvious damage. All staff were very friendly and willing to help or answer questions.

Hotel let down by terrible breakfast and servicePosted Jun 29, 2015
Cons: Service, breakfast, parking
Location: Rugby stadium, London, Richmond
Having stayed here before we were looking forward to another evening at the hotel. Although the room was good and the hotel is in good order, everything went down hill at breakfast. It was utter chaos and both the quality of food and service was very poor. Muffins dry, croissants over cooked, no plates, no bowls for cereal and I has to wait 20 minutes for a pot of coffee. Based on my experience I'd be reluctant to return as I expect better from the Marriot hotel group. Although the hotel seemed quite busy, I have no idea how they will cope when the rugby world cup will mean the hotel is likely to be fully booked.
