Recent stay in Sedona

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: The staff is genuinely interested in serving their customers.
Cons: Increase breakfast offers slightly.
Location: Great area to stay. Lots of shopping and not far from downtown. Nice view of the mountains.
We stayed 2 nights at the Southwest Inn at Sedona. Overall we were very pleased with the accommodations. The room was spacious and clean with a southwest accent.Decent sized bathroom with walk-in shower. Room had a chair for reading, a microwave, and mini fridge. Outdoor pool (we didn't use) available. Hot breakfast items are limited to micro-waving a frozen burrito, or making a waffle, no real proteins. Traditional items such as cereal, breads, bagels, yogurt, packages of oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, apples, oranges, juice, milk, and coffee are available, but no sweet goods. Breakfast area has indoor seating, and also a balcony so you can enjoy the beautiful view. Was impressed we received a call the night of check-in around 10:25pm as we were running late. Called to verify we were still coming, and if we needed directions. We were just a couple minutes away, but was impressed they called. Staff was friendly and helpful during our stay, and would recommend them if you are needing a place to stay in beautiful Sedona.

Quiet hotel away from center

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: Peaceful
Cons: Offer a range of pillow firmness, improved showerhead
Location: The hotel is about a mile from the center. We drove to the Golden Goose for dinner.
Very comfortable except all the pillows were soft.

We stayed at Southwest Inn for 5 days and our experience was dope. It was perfectly situated between all the hiking and other activities we had planned. The views from our room were breathtaking, the bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious.

Decent Location.

Posted Jul 24, 2017
Pros: Location
This place is in a decent location and an average motel. I'm not sure if it's Expedia's choice of wording, or the Inn's, but calling the breakfast a "buffet" is certainly a stretch. It was the typical, sparse, "continental breakfast" that most motels offer.

we only stayed one night, but got a nice spacious room with fireplace and very cozy. It also had a little sitting area right outside, covered. There as a little pool and spa at the hotel but we did not use it. Breakfast was very nice and the staff was very helpfull and pleasant at all times. The location from the Sedona centre is a little far/not walking distance but you can easily drive to all the places for hiking etc.

Decent hotel

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Hotel staff was friendly and the grounds were nice. Room could use a little updating but clean. Pool and hot tub left a bit to be desired and the breakfast consists of frozen burritos and bland cereal.

Overall this is a fairly nice motel. We cam up for a couple days while visiting Phoenix. It was a fairly short trip. The air conditioner was loud, but having air conditioning in July in Arizona was well worth the inconvenience. The location was nice because it was away from the tourist-heavy area. Close to good food and excellent trails on the northwest side of Sedona. We went hiking at 5 am so I cannot vouch for the breakfast since it opened later in the morning. I would definitely stay at this motel again.

West Sefona location

This hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable. Decor was outdated. Breakfast was plentiful if you eat gluten. I do not and was disappointed by the offerings, hotel was "good enough" and we would probably stay there again,

Comfortable rooms

Posted Jun 28, 2017
I had a great experience from the moment I checked in until I checked out. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. The room had plenty of space and was very clean. The beds were awesome to sleep on. The location was perfect and made for a very quiet and peaceful stay. I thought I was going to be bothered that the pool wasn't open 24 hours but after staying here, I think it would have taken away from the quiet and peaceful weekend I had since the pool was right outside of my room.

Barely remodeled motel

Posted Jun 9, 2017
Pros: Good location, fairly quiet, partial views of red rocks.
Cons: Pest control. Upgrade furniture. Mattress was uneven and needs to be flipped.
Location: Lots of great restaurants nearby. Would recommend Euro Deli which is right next door for great coffee and breakfast.
Disappointed in this hotel compared to other similarly priced options in the area. It's a small place that looks like a former motel, two stories with outside access to all rooms. We were on the second floor on the end and it was fairly quiet. Access to the room was through a tight utility corridor, would not have wanted to go through it alone at night. Sofa was old and uncomfortable. Biggest issue was finding several roaches - not a pleasant experience. We stay in Sedona frequently and have never run into this issue elsewhere. Will not return.
