Comfortable and roomy hotel room.

Location: The location was excellent, walking distance to several good restaurants, and a short drive to the uptown area and numerous other tourist sites..
Our suite was very comfortable with lots of room, and competitively priced. It was quiet and had nice views of the surrounding mountains. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and well managed by the attendant, Jack. The room had some recent repairs to the walls and the paining had not been completed or was poorly done, although that did not affect our stay. All staff that we interacted with were extremely competent and friendly.

Darling hotel in Sedona

We had a lovely experience at this sweet little hotel in Sedona! Staff was friendly and helpful, room was spacious with seperate sitting room and bedroom, gorgeous view from our balcony, nice hot tub and robes after a full day exploring and a good breakfast in the morning! It's an older property but kept up well and you can't beat the price! Would definitely stay here again!

Dissapointed

The room was small and outdated. The bathroom sink wouldn't turn completely off the toilet didn't work properly either. The ac unit in the room did not cool the room it was very stuffy and uncomfortable. We booked a room with a single king bed. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I was ever slept on I wokeep up daily with back pain. The pillows were old and flat as well. The staff was beyond friendly and kind. The continental breakfast was nice everything was clean and we'll stocked. This is a non smoking property I was not told about this when I booked the room. I can understand not smoking inside the room but not being able to smoke outside is insane.

Awesome staff, great location, nice room

I’d recommend making sure you book a room that is on the upper floor as those have good views across the mountains. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The inn is in a good location. The staff here are amazing, super friendly and seem to really care about guests. Breakfast is simple but nice.

Our first time in Sedona

Pros: Comfortable, clean, quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Cons: Make it clear that there are steep steps to the second floor. We were able to handle our heavy luggage, but some people may not.
Location: We visited Montezuma's Castle, Well, and Tuzigoot National Monuments, Chapel of the Holy Cross, Jerome, and Cottonwood (great souvenirs).
We drove to Sedona after a visit to the Grand Canyon. This was our first time in Sedona and we stayed at the Southwest Inn for 3 nights because it was recommended by friends. The room was large, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions about what to see in the area. The variety of food and beverages in the breakfast area was good, and Gary was especially welcoming. The location of the Inn is in a quieter area than the central area, which we came to appreciate as the traffic on Saturday was gridlocked and we were able to circle around it. We loved our time in the Sedona area. We visited Cottonwood, Jerome, 3 National Monuments, the Chapel of the Holy Cross, and more. Of course, the scenery is gorgeous. We hope to return someday.

Nice hotel for a short stay in Sedona

Pros: Front desk staff we had at check-in was great
Location: Sunset at Airport Mesa trail head near by
Staff gave great recommendations for hiking and dinner. Nice clean hotel room with big bathroom, fireplace worked great for our family of 4.

Needs Updating and Disclosure about Staff at Hotel

Pros: Not much.
Cons: See above in experience.
Location: Not much to do nearby except for a good view of the red rocks.
We were told after we checked in by the front-desk staff that there are no staff at the hotel after 11 p.m. There is a phone number posted on the front door to contact in case of emergency. They also do not provide wake-up calls. The lack of these services is not reflective of a hotel that charges the rates that it does. Also, the rooms are in desperate need of updating. The shower floor and ceiling was stained. The carpet was gross. I was looking forward to taking a jet bath, but the tub looked so worn that I passed. The only thing really available to eat at breakfast is a burrito which was pretty good, but not much else that looked edible. I would definitely look around before booking this hotel. The area is also remote and I wish we would have booked a hotel in the area known as uptown where all the restaurants, bars and activities are located. Much nicer hotels too.
